THE MYSTERIOUS   SEA SQUIRRELS  OF THE ATLANTIC COAST

THE LEGEND OF THE SEA SQUIRRELS
Once upon a time... there was a bad squirrel named Neptune.  He hoarded and stole all of the other squirrels nuts.  The other squirrels were very angry at Neptune and kidnapped him late at night.  The squirrels drug Neptune to the pier and threw him off into the turbulent blue ocean.  Neptune struggled for his life amidst the crashing waves.  He found a piece of driftwood and clung to it for dear life.  As the morning sunlight filtered through the haze, Neptune spotted the coastline, as the tide was washing him in.  He swam to shore, and behold, he had transformed into a sea squirrel.   Water rolled right off his fur, his feet were webbed, he had gills, and his claws had turned into pinchers.  He built himself a magical sandcastle to live in, and he developed a taste for crab droppings, seaweed, and the occasional food that humans would leave on the beach.  One day Neptune was swimming and he spotted a beautiful sea squirrel named Aquarius, that had also been thrown away by her squirrel tribe, and transformed into a magical sea squirrel.  Neptune and Aquarius had many sea squirrels of their own, and they now can be seen every once in a while on the beach today.

Sea Squirrels are indigenous from the South Carolina coast down to the middle of Florida's coast.  Sea squirrels are very elusive and have been seen, but never photographed.  They are ignored by scientists, zoologists, law enforcement, and the government.  Sea squirrels are much like the UFO conspiracy, but are referred to as USS's (Unidentified Squirrel Swimming).  Sea squirrels hate other squirrels with a passion, much due to their abandonment.  They eat shells, crab droppings, palm tree seeds, and seaweed.  They drink salt water, and beer that humans leave on the beach.  Sea squirrels can breathe underwater and on land.  They are very adept swimmers and like to swim along with the porpoises.  Sea squirrels are very sociable animals towards ocean critters, but they do not like land animals.  They live in palm trees, sandcastles, and on floating squirrel party boats.  Sea squirrels like to come up to the beach early in the morning to steal all of the shells and sand dollars, for this is their main form of underwater currency.  Sea squirrels are known to steal jet skis and remote controlled toy boats for their enjoyment.  If you have any pictures of an elusive sea squirrel, please contact Psycho Squirrels.
