The Nightcaps appeared at Linda's Tavern on New
Year's Eve with an additional guitar player sitting in for half the set. The cameo appearance on 2nd guitar was none other than the man himself: Mr. Neil Rogers. I (Robb Clarke) didn't see the show myself but heard great things about the craftsmanship Neil brought into the set. As a matter of fact, I heard it
blended so nicely that he is welcome to play with "The Caps" again in the future. Who knows, could this be a steady gig for Mr. Rogers? Stay tuned....He looks pretty slick in a shark-skin suit.
The Nightcaps are going back into the studio in January to record their second CD, tenitivley titled "Raw Treasure". The recording will reflect some changes from their original "lounge" roots, into a more driving, rhythm & blues and soul influenced sound. Look for the new Nightcaps CD at your favorite record store in the spring of 1999.
The Nightcaps have been taking it easy for now but they are very much alive.
