Green Eggs and Pentagrams

I am you,
The Son of Man.

The Son of Man? The Son of Man!
I do not like this "Son of Man".
Do you like my pentagrams?
I do not like them, Son of Man.
You reject yourself with your verbal "slam";
A reflection of you is all that I am.
You speak deceits, you deviled Ham.
I see through you; you are a scam.
Now leave me be, you sneaky fox
I'm trying to watch the idiot box.
A scam? A scam is what I am?
Tis you who perpetrates the sham.
My hands are clean, my motives pure
Now tell me why you still demur.
A rib or two, are they amiss?
And look! Your wardrobe comes from Kiss!
You've puppies stomped and your own death faked
As surely as Zarathustra spake!
Now can you tell me, friend of LaVey,
When Satan Speaks, what does he say?
Your mockery rests on a weak foundation;
Those rumors are unworthy of elucidation.
For surely any person with a brain
Would know I'd have to be insane
To lop off ribs or kill my hound,
Though glimmers of truth may still be found
In your linking me to the late Black Pope
Though my music will surely show, dope,
That his Satanic ideal was only one facet of many
That I used to create my Omega epiphany.
So now that I've left you with no argument
Can you point where the claims of duplicity went?

A companion piece to Marilyn Manson's autobiography, The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell, this forty-five page poem provides young children with an introduction to the Marilyn Manson lifestyle and philosophy. The book is beautifully illustrated and contains over 200 rhymes, making it perfect for the child who is just learning to read. Words like "fascism", "dichotomy", "ersatz", "coitus", "juxtaposition", "phenobarbital", "zeitgeist", and "shemhamforash" also serve to help any youngster develop his/her vocabulary.
