statesboro' concept & history...

Statesboro’ were formed in Galway January 1998, we played our first gig in late May 1998. Statesboro's musical style is Blues/Rock based band with an overall bluesy feel.
.
The idea of the band is to get back to some real playing rather than rehashing cover versions of tired songs. In essence, a band where the music is the primary motivation. Jamming, musical interplay and spontaneous improvisation create our unique sound. We also compose and play our own original compositions.

Statesboro' combine the raw guitar sounds of Blues greats such as Rory Gallagher, Cream & The Allman Brothers, combined with nail biting, instrumental solos and improvisation, making Statesboro' a Blues Band of unique talent and an unforgettable experience if you ever lucky enough to see them live.

Long time statesboro' drummer Andy has left the current band line-up.

Cracking local drummer,Kieran, has been whisked in and is currently rehearsing, expect us to be gigging in the next few months. New & Fresh material is currently been worked on.

Stay tuned, same bat-time, same bat-channel...away fearless crusaders..
