the Statesboro' line up.

All statesboro' members are experienced musicians, we have all played with numerous bands in the past. Four of the members are late 30’s-early 50’s age group the other is in his mid twenties. The standard statesboro’ line-up is usually a four piece but occasionally five, when Robbie from Dublin jams along.
 
 

Neil Beasley

Bass Guitar
Neil the youngest band member, is from Listowel and played with local bands  such as 'Emerald' and 'High Voltage' with whom he played at numerous Motorcycle Rallies around the country. He has been playing the bass since 1988. He lived in Spain from 1994-96 and was involved in various musical projects there, including Nuevo Flamenco - Spanish/Blues Rock music.
Influences: Blues/Jazz/Latin Fusion's, 60's R&B, Eric Burdon & War, Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac, The Doors.
Neil is a Engineer based in Galway
 
 

Robert Coen

Lead guitar/Vox/slide/Harmonica
Robbie is from Ballina Co. Mayo but we won't hold that against him. He has played guitar since the early ‘70’s, including stints as lead guitarist with a myriad of bands : ‘GasTrap’, ‘Open Asylum’,’The Stroking Motions’,’The Scum of the Earth’ etc. Keeps trying to fight against it but “the artistic muse forever seeks expression”

Robbie lists Paul Kossof, Rithchie Blackmore, Jimmy Page, Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix and Joe Satriani as his guitar heroes
Robbie is a Psychologist living and working in Dublin.
 
 

Terry Connors

Vox and semi-accoustic guitar/harmonica
Terry is from Limerick and played solo in Limerick and Dublin in the 80’s, He was a founder member and singer with the well-known Limerick Band ‘Tuesday Blue’.
“The Blues is the Key to all music” best describes Terry’s commitment to R&B.
Terry lives in Galway and is a Psychologist lecturing in Athlone RTC.
 
 

Brian Doody

Lead guitar
Brian is from Portlaoise and has played electric guitar since 1970, He is a veteran of many Midlands rock and blues bands : ‘Steel Spitz’, ‘Open Asylum’ ,‘Spilt Second’ and ‘The Feds’ to name a few.
Musical influences: Cream, Zeppelin, The Band, Allman Brothers
Brian is a Software Engineer living in Galway.
 
 

Andy Fitzpatrick

Drums
Andy from Galway, is the newest member of the group. He has vast experience and has been  “drumming for longer that I want to think about” . Andy used to play in Dublin in the late 60's alongside with the likes of Phil lynnot, Gary Moore and Brush Shields. He was drummer with the “Wild Breed” Galways rock/blues flag–bearer for many years in the early ‘70’s.
Andy is a big Led Zeppelin and Cream fan.
Andy is a cabinet maker who runs his own business in Galway.

Ray Ryan

Ray comes from Athenry and follows in the footsteps of his father.
Any sound complaints on a postcard only to Ray.


Statesboro' Gear.

Statesboro' have a full PA setup ie: Small Venue PA and for Larger venues a  1000w P.A. Rig/desk/monitors etc
Statesboro' have also produced a ‘semi-live’ Demo CD which gives a flavour of the band’s repertoire.
