My first memory of the JYD is around 1986. I have this vision of him bringing some little kid in the ring after a match and showing how to dance. It wasn't really dancing, it was more like moving your knees back and forth in a slightly bent position while tilting your head back and howling/growling. I remember listening to his song on the famous 'Wrestling Album'. That's right, the JYD was musicaly talented too. His song, aptly titled 'Grab Them Cakes' was one of the best on that unforgettable piece of art known as 'The Wrestling Album'. I also remember JYD wrestling 'King' Harley Race in front of 93 173 people in Pontiac Silver Dome in Michigan. He may have lost the match that night, but he was a winner in the hearts of thousands of kids all over the world. Shortly after that, he sort of disappeared from wrestling. He wrestled occasionaly for small independent promotions and I heard he stole some money from New Jack of The Gangstas (in ECW), but he was pretty much taking it easy. Are you guys still reading this? Wow. When I heard about JYD's untimely and tragic death, it was like a someone had insterted a small tube into my chest and was draining the blood out of my still beating heart. I found myself alone (alone, alone) above a raging sea, he's still the only JYD I love, drown him deep inside of me(?) You know what the worst part is? He was driving back from his daughter's graduation when he got in the accident. That sucks. Wait... Maybe the worst is that he never won a WWF title. I don't think the wrestling world will ever see another Junk Yard Dog. When the JYD died, a little piece of me died with him... JYD RIP
