Kristen's Concert
I saw Duncan opening for Shawn Colvin last summer. It was Saturday, July 26th,1997. We had to drive 3 hours to The Berkshire Performing Arts Theater at the National Music Center in Lenox. We were driving around because we did'nt know quite where to go. My dad found it but we has a few hours untill the show so we drove some more. I saw this really nice mansion and pointed it out saying "Wow, that's a really groovy house". So we went to a little flea market and eating pizza, kinda. I was so anxoius that I could'nt eat. I was'nt the same for a week. Then we headed back to the quaint little theter where the concert was. Again we passed the really kool house and I said" oh look, there's that house again". My dad said " yeah, and look at those two limos parked in front. I thought he was trying to pysche me out but i looked and saw two shiney limos. I forgot to mention that this house was right next to the theater. Later they told us that Duncan and Shawn were staying there. I was proud for noticing it before I knew that. Duncan went on first and he was so wonderful and perfect. There were a few funny and choice moments. Between songs he asked us if we were psyched to see Shawn Colvin and some girl screamed " We came to see you too!!!!!!!" There was also this part between some songs when all the light came completely on and he could see us as well as we could seee him. He was shocked and said " Oh, high everyone". We all lauphed because it was such a good thing to say". Mid way through he was introducing his band and this is something that to this day my friend wont let go of. he said " and this is so and so and he's in charge of procussion and technical....stuff". It was so great and it just made ya love him more. Then the show was over and I was in the back so I could see that no one was standing so I stood up and gave him a great shanding ovation and screamed till I did'nt have the breath to do it. Oh, I forgot to say that pre-show we were walking around outside. It was a nice little park area and anyway we saw the limos drive in and it was great because they were going very slow. Then we had another long car drive and we got home at 1:00 in the morning. I still have my ticket and program in my scrapbook.
