On July 1, 1999 Duncan played in Central Park, in NYC as a part of Joni's Jazz, a tribute to Joni Michell.

As you all know, Duncan's new album was released on October 6th. We hope all of you went out and got it because the entire album is just amazing. In support of Humming, Duncan has a few tour dates lined up. You can find them at this official site.

On October 6th, the same day Humming was released a compilation cd was also released with a song sung by our very own Duncan on it. The compilation cd is called "Red Hot + Rhapsody" and is a fundraising effort by the Red Hot Organization. This organization deals with AIDS. There are performances by over 20 artists, some of which are: Duncan Sheik, David Bowie, Natalie Merchant, Sinead O'Connor, Luscious Jackson, The Roots, and many more. The proceeds of the album will go to AIDS research.
Duncan's single "Bite Your Tongue" off his second album has been released. Be sure to call your local radio station and request it.
Duncan's Official Website had a contest around Christmas time last year. Entries are no longer being accepted, and the winners have yet to me announced, but your two favorite Sheik Freaks sent in their entries before the deadline. The question was "What does Duncan really want for Christmas?". The 10 winners that Duncan picks himself are supposed to get an autographed Wishful Thinking poster of Duncan. Cross your fingers for us.
Duncan has recorded a song for the Tribute to Rumors album for Fleetwood Mac. He did Songbird. If you want to see the cover of the record go to the Discography page.
Supposedly there are (somewhere out there) Duncan Sheik Songbooks. It was supposed to be out in mid February. Neither of us has seen it. Thanks to Crystal who so kindly told us that she got her copy of Duncan's Songbook at Disc Jockey. So if anybody is looking for it check there and you might find it. Kate also told us that she went to a local music store that sold sheet music and asked them to order it for her. So, if you can't find it anywhere then this is your best bet.
