Remember EBB from several conserts in Trondheim, and one in Steinkjer about 25 years ago.
"Evenining over rooftops" was one great hit over in Trøndelag here in Norway.
It is much more to tell you about this band --
however I will thank you for visiting North of Norway in those years of the seventies.
None of the big ones did. So you are bigger!
hgk - a little big fan then and no

Hey! Great to see another Roy Harper fan. I hear he's coming back to the USA this Fall. I saw
him in Minneapolis and LA a couple of times over the past 3 years. Seems like "Folkjokepus" was a long time ago now. "I never know what time of day it is/ On my battlefield of ideas..."

Mountain is one of the greatest bands in hard rock tinted with soul accords. Their marvellous and strong sounds lead to a very live and energyc feeling.

I was going to the Universidad de las Amercias in
Cholula, Pue., Mexico when "It's a Beautiful Day"
came out. Listening to that music in the trippy
rural campesino environment of the school in the early '70's, with the panorama of the huge blue sky like the album cover and with the"POPO" volcano in the background was quite an experience.

Went to see PULP the other day and intor tape over PA was "Negative Negative" my 11yo son couldn't understand why I was so excited! Love to hear news and discuss the greatest band I ever saw.

I enjoyed yr website on Nick Drake...I wanted more information on how to order those bootlegs, but your link only offers the same CD's you can get anywhere! I have no e-mail, I'm using the computer at school. If you know where the bootlegs can actually
e ordered from, please put it on your website! Thanks.
Comments:
So glad to finally put a face to the wonderful kitten photographer!
Comments:
Where are the bootlegs (tape/cd) available from? I followed your links and they only have legitimate recordings...ho hum...nice to see your site though, as many candles as possible should burn in memory of one of the gentlest, most lyrical songwriters eve
to have graced this world with their song...
Comments:
Thank you for starting a U.S. web page.

Your site could be great. I'd love to help you do some graphics, and please put a link to my site on yours. If you know where I can get ND songs off the internet email me.

used to sit in my parents' V.A. basement late into the evening in '68 w/ an old speaker magnet placed in proper proximity to A.M. radio at night so i could tune in wbz to listen to the boston sound bands like edens' children, beacon street union and ultim
te spinach. wonderful to find that the music & memories exist somewhere other than my head and my record collection, and that ian is still alive and kickin'
Comments:
fine
Comments:
Since there are so many s.o.b.'s, the one I'm referring to is Ian Bruce-Douglas of the Ultimate Spinach.
Comments:
I knew this s.o.b. before he was a star! I made him everything he was and is. Just ask him about riding around Penn. going to the Philly Folk Festival in his Austin Healy 3000 (in the early 60's). It was during this time that he stole all the wisdom I was
able to provide him. But I still love him.

Nice site. Always good to see someone keeping the memory alive.
Comments:
I actually have a copy of "Five leaves Left" on vinyl that I bought in 1970. Good to see that others are still interested in Nick Drake.
Comments:
It is a source of immense satisfaction to me that Nick, after so many years, is now a "star". A totally unique talent, his songs simply become a part of one's psyche. He will live forever!
-indeed..!
Comments:
Wow!!!...Nick Drake!!! Sure do appreciate findin' somethin' about him. I was under the impression that no one ever heard of him, 'cause I got a tape of a tape of a tape of a record of him, and the record came from Becky's brother's friend who bought it
or some forgotten reason...Great work.
-Some years ago there was a box with all his records released! Worth every penny!
Comments:
i've just bought the compilation DIVE INTO YESTERDAY..............

Really appreciated the Nick Drake stuff. No-one ever "held emotion in the palm of his hands" as much as Nick.

Big fan in 60's
Saw Ultimate Spinach at "Boston Tea Party" (old) many times. While at Lowell Tech, I went to concert and the group was Totally different. (very disipointing)
Anyway: Moved to NJ in '85. Nobody here had heard of U.S.
Good to know Ian Bruce-Douglas are "alive and well".
-I'm preparing a homepage for them... hopefully on-line after the summer!

Nice to see someone is paying attention to a really overlooked band (Ulimate Spinach) regardless of the stones thrown by Rolling Stone. Behold & See was/is a great album which holds up well over time particularly Jazz Thing.
-I'm preparing a homepage for them... hopefully on-line after the summer! Jazz thing is one of my favorites too! :-)

Kaleidoscope: A great page on a great group. A special tragedy they never got their just desserts, as they didn't fuck it up for themselves like so many others, but
had it fucked up for them by an incompetent record
company who couldn't even get the group's records to the shops even though the radio played them. The records certainly stand the test of time; shame no evidence exists of their reportedly awesome live performances. if you haven't given this group a chanc
- do so.
Comments:
I dig Kaleidoscope and it's great that you've devoted your page to them. Excellent job!
come check out my homepage sometime

Liked your page on the Strawbs. Thanks for including a link to the Home Page. Lots more information coming up in '98 - hopefully some gigs, certainly some re-issue CDs and (probably - if I can finish writing it) a book!

Glad you have 'Love' and 'Country Joe & the Fish' on your list, but what about 'The Doors', and what about The 'Stranglers'?
It's a small world - my very good friend Asa Andersson is studying psychiatry at Linkoping Uni - if you say her, give her my love. Also, one of my favourite restaurants, O'Leary's, opened a branch in Linkoping this year!
Rock on!

Interesting site. I'll be adding some suggestions for bands to consider once I've checked with a friend who remembers lots more of this period than I do. (I was a died-in-the-wool folkie for most of this time, so my band list leans towards Highwoods Str
ng Band, the Greasy run Toad Trompers -- my band -- and such.) My source doesn't currently have web access, so I'll be his conduit for information on "Bottled Romance" and some others.

I love your website and you were correct...
you were born in that wonderful year: 1968...
