While working with Mr. Twister { guess who is Mr. Twister} for the past 14 years, Rod has swooned the crowds all over Wisconsin. Now looking for even more areas for expression, Rod has started The Boilerhouse Blues Band.
Boilerhouse started out as a medium to develop some strong blues with a
hint of jazz mixed in. It has become a real crowd pleaser. Rod has
been noticed climbing on customer's tables and bars at his gigs.
There you will even see
him start on his knees, fall over backwards and still keep on blowing
some of the most provocative tones that have ever come
out of a tenor saxophone.
Being wireless, Rod brings the stage out to the crowd. A true showman, Rod's solo's bring a true desire out in the open. The term " Bearing your soul " is synonymous with Rod. Not only the technique and intonation but the feeling is what sets him apart from all of the others.
Rod has also adding the soprano saxaphone to the line up. Several times each gig, he will reach down and treat the crowd to a new experience. Very little blues, in the past, have been done on the soprano sax. It takes an unbelievable amount of talent to master the blues on soprano. Stop in and see a real master in action.
Where ever in the Mid-West, take time out to catch this act in any
venue that he is currently appearing in. You won't come away
unsatisfied... Maybe a little out of breath, but not untouched.
