Marilyn Manson is an awesome band! I advise those of you who hate him, to get out! Rev. Manson is the newest musical savior...in the 70's that savior was Led Zeppalin, and in the 80's it was Metallica...now in the 90's it's Marilyn Manson! He's a god of goth rock. His real name is Brian Warner..

There are many rumors about him, hardly one is true. He hasn't taken his ribs out, he doesn't throw puppies or chickens (or whatever animal) into a moshpit, he didn't deform his eye (it's a contact!), he's not dead (no matter what some will say), he has never been on a tv sitcom as a kid, and he isn't planning on committing suicide...some things that are true though...

1. He is a member of Anton LeVay's Church of Satan, although he does not attend regularly. He doesn't worship satan. The Church of Satan doesn't believe in the Christian god or satan, it is totally different.

2. he has hung a chicken on stage (a RUBBER one!!)

3. he collects prosthetic limbs as a hobby

4. he grew up in a Catholic family...

Rev. Manson is always being compared to to Alice Cooper and Ozzy Ozbourne by the critics. There is a big difference between Manson and those 2 though. When on stage... Alice and Ozzy put on an act...Manson isn't an act, it's how he lives his life.

"Where do you draw the line between where your on-stage Marilyn Manson character ends and the 'real' you begins?"
Manson answered..
"I don't know anymore--or if that line even exists. I guess at some point in my life Marilyn Manson was an act--sort of like my alter-ego-- but now its not. What you see on stage, what you hear in lyrics on the albums, it's pretty much the same thing you'd see if you were sitting in my hotel room talking to me..."

Some people take one look at Marilyn Manson and start shuddering and praying and thinking things like "why did he do that to himself???...my god!!"

These type of people I feel sorry for.. They don't understand what he's all about. Marilyn isn't just some guy who's trying to scare everyone..He's actually trying to save us from ourselves. The world is in the dying years, he's trying to bring about the apocalypse.

His message is one that states, "Believe more in yourself." That's the main point anyway. To go into depth, he's telling people to stop depending on everyone else, to do things in a way that YOU see they should be done. So many people try to *fit-in* with everyone else, but to be yourself and focus on individuality means to be able to take responsibility for all your actions. You wouldn't be able to blame things on everyone else. That is why people are afraid of it. That's why some people are afraid of Marilyn Manson, he's not afraid of being himself, he's holding up a mirror of the world, showing us how bad it has gotten. And at the same time he is telling us how to make it better.

Manson constently degrades himself in his concerts, the message he is saying there to people is, "I am no better than you."

Rev. Manson may be part of Church of Satan, but unlike popular belief he doesn't have "alter calls to Satan" at his concerts.

First of all members of CoS don't "worship" Satan. Satan is only a word that represents everything in that religion. Satanists do not believe in the God or Satan depicted in the Christian religion. And also in the Satanic Laws it specifically BANS any kind of harm to children or animals. So that does away with the rumor of Marilyn Manson killing puppies and chickens at concerts. Anyone who still believes stuff like that are so ignorant..I like Manson's quote "I don't think stupid people should breed."

Brian Warner has created a band that America is afraid of. And the sole reason they are afraid of it is because he IS RIGHT. The world is dying..and we are all helping it.

Those of you people out there who still don't know quite what to make of Mister Manson, I advise you to listen or read some of his interviews. You'll find that he talks intelligently and knows what he is talking about. Rev. Manson is human, he is just trying to get people to see the world through his eyes...
