My name is Vanessa and here I am again letting you in on a little piece of Jacksonville HIStory!!!
We had an 18 month engagement that went by so very fast!! All of the planning was done by myself and Quentin with the support of our families. We were not the only couple to marry in the year of 1994. As you will know, our Michael also married Lisa Marie. We were so happy for Michael and Lisa Marie and enjoyed seeing Michael with his bride. This added to our excitement because, after finding my own special person to whom I wanted to share my entire life with, the one person who bought us together also had gotten married in the exact same year!!
We sent out 115 invitations and 108 people attended our big day. We sent Michael and his bride a special invitation just to let Michael know of the union he had created. Although Michael may not have seen the invitations we sent, it gave us a sense of unity to send him a personal invite to our wedding.
I had three bridesmaids, my sister, Angela, our close friend , Phillipa, and my future sister-in-law, Karen, Quentins sister. Our close friend, Phillipa is also an avid Michael admirer, the same as us. We have a special bond with Phillipa and it was amazing having my two best Michael friends there on that day, Q and Phillipa.
The big day finally arrived, November 26 1994, and we had a totally magical day!! We included Michael in our day by taking one of our life-size cardboard cut outs to the wedding and having the cut-out stand with us in some of our wedding photos. He looked as handsome as ever in his white outfit and hair tied back to suit the occasion!!! We danced our first dance to "I Just Can't Stop Loving You'" from the 'Bad' album and danced the rest of the night away to other Michael songs, the DJ made sure of playing a selection of Michael songs through the whole night!! I can remember dancing with Q to "Will You Be There" when our limousine had arrived to take us the our hotel!!
Our day was full of magic and love as we joined hands and said our vows to one another and became Mr. and Mrs. Wood!! We are forever grateful to Michael for sharing his love and passions with the world tirelessly and giving us the love we share for one another and for Michael.
As I write this for you today, we are to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary this November 1998!!! We had the most dream able second wedding anniversary!! Please read on, to find out how, and who with, we spent our second wedding anniversary!! Oh thank you, Michael!!!!!!!
