Here's a band that blew up big time recently, and I can see why.  What's not to like about their straight up no bullshit style.  They've always been a cool band to see, but they (especially john, the drummer) have been extremely tight, and incredibly mind blowing the last few times I've seen 'em.  Today is 10-03-98, and me and all the doomryderz are going to see Benumb play with Excruciating Terror tonight at some club in Berkeley.  I'm pretty stoked. Well I guess I should stop rambling and give some dirt on the boyz.  So here goes.  Benumb have been playing as a band for about 3 years or so.  They're really explosive, really angry, and really good.  They have a lot of split 7"s and they have a lot of songs on comps.  They just released their debut L.P., Soul of the Martyr on Relapse.  It's been getting around real fast, and people are really digging it from what I can tell.  I'm really happy for these guys, because they're all really cool, and down to earth people.  Pete is the biggest character in the band.  If you ever meet him you'll know exactly what I mean.  If you would like any info on Benumb, email 'em, or check their homepage out.    ugly bunch of mother fuckers huh?     their debut L.P.    home  friends  places  links
