Gob @ Train Wreck
Fest '97
photos by Jim Thompson
Gob, from Reno, are dooomryderz by affiliation. Brandon from
deadbodieseverywhere joined the band about a year ago, and the rest is
history. Gob has been together in one form or another for more than
5 years. A few singers, guitarists, bassists, and a drummer later,
gob are: jon (above) on 6 strings, leah (above) on thunder sludge, and
brandon (deadbodieseverywhere) on drums. The music gob made in the
past was experimental, sonic bewilderment. Things haven't changed
much. They're still making ripping shit that doesn't sound like anything
out there. They have so much stuff that I probably don't have room
to list it all. Some of the newer releases are: Spazz split (Satan's
Pimp\702), Agoraphobic Nosebleed split (Bad Card, France), Accidental Double
Homicide comp (Satan's Pimp), and who could ever forget the fabulous Sloth
split (?). Jon and Leah help run a co-op record store called Resurrection.
The two also run a label called Satan's Pimp. This label has pumped
out quite a few damn good releases. For any info on the band, label,
or what fight Leah started last friday,

P.S.
If the canadian gob that blatantly ripped off
the REAL gob's name comes to your town,
beat 'em up. or at least laugh at their stupid
music.
