| Even though Tripping Daisy is no longer together after the death of guitarist and founding member Wes Berggren, the band's popularity keeps growing. Just like a flower, it keeps blooming year after year with wonderful material and sounds. This is one Texas band that everyone should give a listen to. They've been compared to many different bands, but their form of "Power Dream Pop" has no other match. It's a unique blend of guitar, bass, distortion, and odd sound effects. They hit it big in the U.S. and Canada. The band appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien twice and headlined sold-out shows all across the country. They were well known for taking unkown bands on tour with them to expose the world to new sounds. If there was ever another band that would have a "Greatful Dead" type of following, it would be Tripping Daisy. It seems as if their fans would go anywhere and do anything to see their shows several times a year. |
