A Crash Course in EVERYTHING You Need to Know to Get Closer to Your Fave **Stars**!

I.C.= in concerts {B.S.P.}= Backstage Passes {General}= Applies to Both Getting B.S.P.& Getting Closer in Concerts(read the disclaimer@the bottm of the page)

{B.S.P}- Wear bright colors. It makes it easier for the people giving away the passes/ tickets easier to spot you out of a crowd of people.

..............DON'T BUM! Your representing the state and the people giving away the passes want you to represent them well. Therefore having the name "Nick" written on your arms, forehead, or cheek doesn't usually get people backstage passes- unless they ask for you to do that during promotional advertisements. Dress nicely, but you don't have to look like your going to the prom. A Clean and Ironed(!) pair of jeans( notice the words clean and ironed are bold!) and the main acts t-shirt will due. So basically what I'm trying to say is don't bum unless your already garunteed admittance backstage.

I.C.- Wear black/ solid colored( such as dark blue or red) over brightly colored shirts( white, orange, pink) The jackets keep you from standing out enough for security to really notice you. The white shirts are for when you make it up to the stage( white has a tendancy to glow a bluish color when they turn the venues lights off therefore making it easier for the main acts to see you.)

...............Wear boots with heels on them. They're good to wear because most teenyboppers tend to be about 5'4"- 5'6" and these will help you tower over the rest of them and stand out in concerts.( Cathy doesn't need them. She's 6'0" literally!) Drawbacks: Extra height makes it easier for security to see you( as Cathy has constantly found out). So if your already tall stick to tennis shoes or flats. -Unless your trying to get B.S.P.'s. ...............Bookbags/ Purse- One of the most important things a fan can bring to a show is a bookbag. In it should be kept some of the most important tools of the trade including a notebook- with clean paper in it and a pen, a picture or magazine with the artist image on it- you always want to be prepared for a chance meeting, an audio recorder and picture camera( I know they say don't bring them, but as long as you keep it in your bookbag until the concert starts no one really cares.

Don't be upset if you have "nosebleed" seats. The farther away you are from the main act the easier it is to sneak in a hand held video camera. If your sitting in a balcony seat above the entrance to your section your in an ideal place to videotape from, because security rarely ever looks above them.) Something you must remember is to NEVER attempt to move with your bookbag on. Security will automatically ask to see your ticket because they figure if you were already sitting there your stuff should already be at your seat. This is why I bring a purse. In it I keep my camera, an extra battery, 4 rolls of film, my money, a mini notepad and pen, my ticket stub and the all important glow stick.( I'll explain why it's important in upcoming lessons)
