APRIL 3rd

The Guys New Album: On May 18th the guys will be releasing their 3rd album. It is entitled "Millennium" and the first single should becoming out any day now which is entitled, "I Want It That Way". I have heard the song and I love it! It is not fast, but not slow, kind of like "As Long As You Love Me". SO check it out!

DECEMBER 30th

Bring You Up To Date: Between now and September 26th a lot has happened with the BSB. They won many awards and performed on many award shows and Oprah FINALLY had them on her show. But tomorrow, New Years Eve, they are performing at Billboards countdown to 1999. It starts at 11:00 p.m. so be sure to watch!

SEPTEMBER 26th

Much Music Video Awards: On September 24th, A.J. and Howie came to Toronto, Ontario to present and recieve an award. Even though Howie's sister had died only a couple of weeks before, he still came. And when they won the People's Choice "Best International Group" he dedicated it to his sister and it almost made me cry. For more information on the death of Howie's sister, look below.

SEPTEMBER 21st
Howie's Sister: On September 13th, 1998 in North Carolina, Howie's sister, Caroline, passed away from lupus. Lupus is a diease that attacks the blood vessils and can be deadly in some cases. It can also be cured in other cases. And for some people it can me controlled with medication that they take for life. Howie and the other bsb had to cancel a show when they heard the news. 19,000 screaming fans were waiting for the boys to come on stage when someone came out and said that there had been a death in one of the boys families. I am sure that Howie and his family will love to know that so many people care about them and their family. And that you money will help to find a cure for Lupus so that no other families have to go through so much pain like Howie's.

SEPTEMBER 2nd

Their Girlfriends: When the Backstreet Boys performed on Regis and Kathie Lee, Kathie Lee asked them if any of them had serious girlfriends. Brian said, "I'm seeing someone" and A.J. said, "So am I". But don't worry all of you Nick, Kevin and Howie fans, they are still free. But Nick is only resently free. When in Houston, he was asked about when he bought a puppy with his girlfriend and he denied it saying very apoligetic, "I'm sorry, what do you mean my girlfriend, that was my cousin." But right before he went on stage, he turned to his platenom blond "cousin" embrased her and gave her a deep, long kiss. But don't worry, that was about a month before the Regis and Kathie Lee interview so he is single again. That is good news for me!

AUGUST 22nd

A.j. hurt his leg: On August 22nd at the Molson Ampitheatre, in Toronto Canada, A.j. pulled a muscle in his upper leg and a doctor in Toronto said so in an interveiw. They were performing the third last song when A.j. ran off stage and didn't come back on. The rest of the guys had to sing his parts and where hoping that he would be back for the night show, but instead, he was at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. A.j. watch the night concert from his hospital bed and the guys told the audiance to sing "I'd go anywhere for you" for A.j. and everyone in the audience started to cry and Brian said that they were making him cry. A.j. was seen on the morning of August 23rd leaving the hospital in a wheel chair and looked like he was in a lot of pain. He then went to the airport to join the others in a plane ride to Montreal were later that night he only came on stage to say hi to his fans and then left. A pulled muscle isn't a serious injury espeacially since A.j. is in good shape and young, but it needs time to heal, so it might be a while before he dance on stage. A.j. doesn't have a lot of luck in Canada. A few years ago, A.j.'s foot got run over by the van that was coming to pick them up in Montreal as they were running away from screaming fans. A.j. should be fine after a couple of weeks, so just hope that he will get better soon.

AUGUST 22nd

Gone diamond in Canada: Earlier that day the Backstreet Boys went diamond in Canada which means that they sold over 1 million c.d.'s in Canada and only 70 other artists have gotten there before. BUT, they made music history b/c they went diamond TWICE!!! Once with their first c.d. "Backstreet Boys" and again with "Backstreet Back". That has NEVER happened before for a group to going diamond twice in one country.
