Concert in Vancouver

Hey Everyone!!! Well hope you guys are enjoying each and bit of this page...heee! Hmmm let's get back to the CONCERT! So did you guys go to see the Savage Garden Concert??? Well I hope you guys DID 'cause it was a BLAST!!!!!! Seriously it was my FIRST official concert and IT WAS AMAZING!! (Well if you don't count "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" as a concert then Savage Garden Concert was my FIRST concert....DON'T LAUGH!! HEE) Oh yah...obviously it wasn't Tiger Lily's or Ocean Pearl's first concert..heee...but it was mine mine mine (If you guys don't know who I am...I'm Ding Dong...heee!!!!) Anyways, if some of you didn't go to see the concert, that's ok, 'cause I'm going to tell you ALL about it!!!

The magical night of screaming and dancing started on July 5, 1998, when Savage Garden had their concert in the amazing and beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia. The concert started at 7:30 pm (it said on the ticket..heeee)...well obviously we (Tiger Lily, Ocean Pearl, Mocha and I) had to get there early but don't know why...haaaaa! I think we got there at...hmm...around 5:45pm. I know we might sound a bit crazy but we were anxious to see the concert and SAVAGE GARDEN!!!!!! Our seats were awesome 'cause they were 9th row which means we were at the floor seats!!!! WHOOWHOO!!! OK the concert started at 7:30pm and I was soooooooo excited!!! Well what do I know about concerts...Savage Garden had a band for their opening...(DARN it, couldn't see them right away) hmmm the band was "Zucca Babies" (I don't really remember but I hope that's how you spell it). We grew MORE and MORE anxious!!! I was going nuts...I waited and waited...well FINALLY they finished singing. (Don't ask me about their music...I can only say that it wasn't what I thought it would be...the only words I can hear from them was "Shampoo".) Anyways...let's get back to the concert. Well at 8:30pm Savage Garden FINALLY came out!!!! Everyone screamed like mad...obviously...!!!

Ok let me tell you which songs they sang. First song they sang was Tears of Pearls!!! It rocks like...hmmm like...I don't know it just ROCKSSSSSSS!!!! heeee actually I don't really remember the order of the songs they sang to...and with the help of Tiger Lily and Ocean Pearl the order is as follow:
1. Tears of Pearls (just as I said b4)
2. Love Can Move You
3. To The Moon And Back
4. I Can't Make You Love Me (by Bonnie Raitt)
5. Promises
6. Can't Help Myself (by the Four Tops)
7. Fire Inside The Man
8. Santa Monica
9. Carry On Dancing
10. Mine
11. Break Me Shake Me
12. All Around Me
(hmm how can I describe Darren's performance...very very FUNNY and UNEXPECTED!!! HAAAAA)
13. I'll Bet He Was Cool
14. Universe
15. Free Your Mind by En Vogue (sung by the female background vocals)
16. I Want You
(We, the crowd, yelled "chica cherry cola" when Darren wanted us to and I could see that he and Daniel were very happy 'cause the crowd reacted with LOTS of noise!! hee)
17. This Side Of Me
18. One of Us (by Joan Osborne)
19. Truly Madly Deeply
(This was suppose to be the last song...hee...but...Oh by the way we, the crowd, sang the whole verse of Truly Madly Deeply with Savage Garden. Then Darren sang "And when the stars are shining brightly in the Vancouver sky")
As I just said that "Truly Madly Deeply" was suppose to be their last song but because we were such an awesome and cool crowd, they came back out (well they went back to the backstage after "Truly Madly Deeply") and sang "Building A Mystery" by Sarah McLaughlan! They did a great job in preparing not only the songs but also the entire performance on stage...it was SOOOOOOO COOL and FUNNY!!!!!! Well the concert ended at around...hmmm...10:30pm.

We were so hyper...me, Mocha and Ocean Pearl always screamed Daniel's name when it was silent...heee...well I kind a want to scream Darren's name too but Mocha didn't want to (she was sitting next to me) and Tiger Lily wasn't really the screaming people's name type of person (even though she really really like Darren...I knew she wanted to scream his name out loud...heeee). Well we screamed a lot...I mean LOTS!!!!

I can't believe that the concert is over, done, finish, GONEEEE!! We (me, Tiger Lily, Ocean Pearl and Mocha) do really really wish that Savage Garden can come back to Vancouver again soon 'cause it was a GREAT concert and very memoriable!!! Well one thing that we felt quite dissappointed was that at the concert they weren't selling any Savage Garden posters. Instead, they had lots of caps and shirts and hmmmmmm I don't really remember!!!!! I hope that next time they would bring LOTS and LOTS of POSTERS!!!!!

The following pictures were taking during the concert in Vancouver...sooo ENJOY!!! heee
