Hi, I'm known as Lyric Gillies. I live in Prince George, B.C., Canada. No, I do not live in an igloo, I am not an Eskimo, and I have never owned a husky in my life. Canadians rock.

I love music. I live for music. Music is my elixir of life. Music is my total passion. I play bass guitar. I own a white Fender Precision bass that is my baby, my pride and joy. I also fool around with acoustic guitar and drums. I say "fool around with" because I suck at them both. I write my own stuff. If you give a shit, I have lyrics and poetry that I wrote in my poetry section.

I love Offspring, Lit, Godsmack, Apollo 440, Orgy, Korn, I Mother Earth, No Doubt, Econoline Crush, The Tea Party, Sum 41, The Prodigy, Treble Charger, SR-71, Finger Eleven, Rage Against the Machine, early Pearl Jam, Kittie, Our Lady Peace, Blink 182, Savage Garden, Hole, Sugar Ray, Gob, Oleander, and Limp Bizkit. Those are my favourite bands. Tons of others, as well, I just can't think of any off the top of my head. Do you know what else is great? 'The Phantom of the Opera'. Man, that's a great CD to listen to. And do you know what classical song is so ultimately cool? Pachelbel's Canon. That song is so beautiful, I think it'd make a great wedding song. I love going to dances, so I think stuff like Vengaboys, Backstreet Boys and Ricky Martin also rock. But ONLY at dances! I wouldn't be caught dead listening to it willingly. It is great to dance to, though. Seriously, have you ever tried to latino dance to "Livin' La Vida Loca" when you have no idea what you're doing? It's great!

Movies, ah, I love movies. My favorite movies are 'Blade', 'Tank Girl', 'The NeverEnding Story' (part 1... the other two sucked), 'The Blair Witch Project', 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show', 'The Crow', 'Dogma', 'Gone in Sixty Seconds', 'The Green Mile' and 'Run Lola Run'. 'The Green Mile' was so great.... the acting was superb, and Doug Hutchsion (who played the annoying pansy asshole Percy Wetmore) was so excellent. Go see the movie, I recommend it. I give it 8 thumbs up! I should make a movie review page, shouldn't I? Anyways, I also love it when they take a video game and turn it into a movie... I own 'Street Fighter' and 'Mortal Kombat'. I think they should turn 'Twisted Metal' into a movie... I'd play a part, of course, even though I can't act.

I am 17. I have my driver's lisence. I am a good driver. No, seriously!

I go to university (University of Northern British Columbia). First year. I am SO glad that I'm done high school. They say that high school is supposed to be the absolute best years of your life. If that's true, I might as well go kill myself now.
I'm sorry, I shouldn't joke about death. A friend of mine killed himself a few months ago. Blew his own fucking head in with a hunting rifle. Kinda makes you realize how precious life actually is, high school be damned.

I do not have a boyfriend. Guys don't like me. A relationship doesn't seem to be in my cards. I have a feeling that I will be single for a long time. Love is a government-controlled, manufactured conspiracy.

I do not believe in destiny. Can you imagine, people are here on Earth, and they don't even have a freakin' purpose, 'cause everything we do is already PRE-PLANNED OUT. Scary thought, man. But I DO think that we're just a big experiment in a test tube.

I kickbox, so don't piss me off or I'll kick your sorry ass. Actually, I suck at kickboxing, so you'd probably be able to kick my sorry ass :) I also like hockey, indoor rock climbing (although I suck pretty hard at it), rollerblading and swimming. I hate soccer. Do not even mention soccer to me.

I have ten earrings... five in each ear.
I have a silver ring with an ankh symbol on it that I never take off my left thumb.
I had an ankh pendant on a black leather choker, but it broke, so I got a new one. It's an ankh pendant on a silver ball-chain necklace now. It's choker-style.
I wear a silver ring on my right index finger that I haven't taken off in so long, there's a dent in my finger.
I wear my purple and red watch on my right wrist with the face on the inside of my wrist.
I dye my hair constantly. Orange one week, blonde the next, purple the week after that, red after that! My friends are all used to it.
I always sing and dance, I don't care where I am. This pisses off some of my friends, so I do it more. Favorites to sing and dance to are "Faith", "Rollin'" or "My Generation" by Limp Bizkit, "Bad Touch" by the Bloodhound Gang, "Let Forever Be" by the Chemical Borthers, "Whatever" by Godsmack, or anything else that I know the lyrics to. I'll usually just start dancing, even if there's no music.
When I'm writing stuff, I hold my pen between my index and middle fingers, instead of between thumb and index finger. It's comfier to write that way.

I have an adorable dog named Taffy.

Don't ever dye your hair with Kool-Aid, it just makes it sticky and it washes out the next day. Buy the good dye, like LaRiche Directions, or Stargazer, or Fudge.
