Considered to be the heart and soul of KISS, Eric's thunderous drum skills brought KISS back from the brink of disaster in the early '80s. Sang lead on "Young and Wasted" and "Black Diamond" during thier live shows, but didn't actually make his vocal debut until 1988, when he was overdubbed on "Beth" in the compilation Smashes, Thrashes, and Hits. In early 1991, Eric was diagnosed with cancer and had several operations to remove the cancerous tumers. Unfortunately, on 24 November 1991, he lost his battle with cancer. Eric's memory will always live on, as demonstrated on "Carr Jam 1981" on 1992's Revenge.
