Was he fired or did he quit? That is the burning question that has haunted KISS fans for 15 years now. If you ask Vinnie, he quit. If you ask Gene and Paul, he was fired. An incredibly gifted guitarist and song writer, but it is his "I am God" attitude that keeps Vinnie from having a band. Just ask Dana Strum and Mark Slaughter. After leaving KISS, he formed The Vinnie Vincent Invasion with strum and ex-Journey vocalist Robert Fleishman. When Fleishman refused to tour for their debut album, Mark Slaughter was hired as the new vocalist. In 1988, All Systems Go was released. Either Vinnie's ego, poor album sales, or lack of fan support forced The Invasion to break up in early 1989. Before joining KISS, Vinnie was the music coordinator for the short lived Happy Days spin-off, Joanie Loves Chachi.
