DESTRUCTOR:
They eat and breathe metal everyday!
One of the rawest and most powerful power/thrash bands in the eighties was DESTRUCTOR. They have just released one album "Maximum Destruction" in 1985 (In Europe through RoadrunneR). After a short intro (more than one minute screaming the bandname through a pitchshifter or vocoder) you hear a really loooong scream (I mean SCREAM!!) before the title track starts. It is arranged a bit like SLAYER´s song "Hell Awaits" and gets harder and faster with every minute. If you can manage it NOT to push the "replay" button on your CD-player you can hear all the other great (mostly fast) tracks like "Overdose" or "Pounding Evil". The band splits up when the bassplayer dies in 1988...
In the meantime you had no chance to get this record and it was never released as CD.
But now in early 99 the french record company LISTENABLE RECORDS has re-released a remastered version of this great album with bonus tracks (studio and live!!!). The company-info says, that the band is working on a new album! Hope that this will sound as raw and fresh like MAXIMUM DESTRUCTION! (Distributor in Germany: INDIGO)
