NEAT RECORDS was the first European company that released Heavy Metal. Sure there were 70´s bands like Black Sabbath, Scorpions or Deep Purple called Metal, but the "real" metal began with the new wave of british heavy metal (NWOBHM). The first single NEAT released was from RAVEN, who are still active. They had VENOM, SATAN and BLITZKRIEG.
In 1981 NEAT released this compilation with newcomer bands. Most of them just a single a few had full lenght recordings. This sampler is absolutely rare and now you can see the tracklist and the liner notes of NEAT boss David Wood.
