This great band from the USA sounds like Flotsam & Jetsam should today! They are heavy but not too fast with good hooklines. Their CD sounds professional and powerful and is much better than most of the stuff the record-companies release. They sound old-fashioned enough to call them metal but are modern enough to be succesful today. All 10 songs are great but I like "Leave me in peace" most. TWIST OF FATE-dto.

TWIST OF FATE from Ohio have released a six-track CD which is good for people who are into melodic but powerful metal. Their song "Second Look" (the first song on that CD) is a real killer and this song alone is it worth to have this CD, even it has NO booklet. TALAMASCA-projection

Some of you may know this band from the ROCK-HARD-contest CD "Unerhört". TALAMASCA play progressive metal, but not the Dream Theater-style. No, it sounds more like good old Watchtower playing straighter songs. You need some time to understand these 8 songs but after you will love ´em! The sound is clear so you can hear the intense playing of that four-piece. This band was formed in the late seventies in Chicago and nobody here in Germany ever heard of this band I fear... Well, actually this band isn´t existing anymore. Their only official LP release was "Winter Kill" in 1985 as a private pressing. No wonder....and a shame!!!

In 98/99 MONSTER RECORDS, a small but great US-company, released first WINTER KILL and the unreleased FREE THE BEAST. And both CD´s are great.

It is really not easy to discribe the style of SLAUTER XTROYES. It is power metal with a bit of progressive metal and a spot of thrash (in FREE THE BEAST). Their songs have tons of breaks and getting more intense while hearing them more often. Masterpieces in metal!!
