Subrec started out back in about 1985 or 1986 as the public access cable TV program Sub-Mission LIVE!. About 6 months later, the cable TV show evolved
into the first ever cable TV-radio program, Sub-Mission LIVE! Radio.
After becoming the first person in the state of Minnesota to ever be banned from producing
public access programming, we took a year off and came back with a two & a half hour
program of sheer boredom and anarchy, Hell On The Dial was born.
During the time off, we worked hard to re-vamp the programming, and come up with a slick
new idea and means of getting the message out. A well produced, punk rock only, MTV type
program was the result. Sub-Mission Underground was born. That
program ran bi-weekly for almost 2 years when then next phase of the Subrec empire took up
all our time. Sub-Mission Records released several records over its 3 year life span. Then, set up initially as a
promotional idea and stress reliever, the Sub-Mission Records BBS
took to the cyber world. The current phase in the Subrec plot, to grow punk rock and
pro-wrestling into more then just a spectator sport, is now at your finger tips. The
Subrec Home Page! Okay, so this was current in 1995. It's eight long
years later and the BBS is back! Swing on
over and check it out.
The most current addition to the Subrec Empire is the re-opening of the Sub-Mission
Records BBS in Feb. 2003.
This page Originated aprox. August 1, 1995. It has only undergone minor updates since
then. This page, like all pages on the net, are under constant construction/destruction
right now, so if you want the full scope of things, start looking around!!!
Better yet, head over to recently re-opened Sub-Mission
Records BBS.
