Chapter 9: Trouble and Tears

"No really officer, I didn't mean to steal it. I mean I forgot about it being in there..."Taylor pleaded his case.

"Yeah, ah-ha, how many times have I heard that one before."

"But this is different!"

"Oh really?"

"Um, yeah.. you see, you might have heard of me, I have a singing group with my brothers. We have a CD out..." Tay hated to use his fame to get him places but right now he couldn't think of anything else to do.

"Oh I see, so because your sing and your famous, I should let you go?"

"No, no, no, I think you missunderstood. What I meant was..."

"Cut the crap kid, your coming with me."The man said very sternly.

"Tay, are we going to jail?" Avery asked, nearly in tears.

"No, we're not. It's all just a big missunderstanding, that's all. It's ok." Tay said softly then bending down to comfort his scared little sister.

"Come on kid, I'm calling your parents."

After about 20 minutes of waiting, Diana and Walker finally showed up.

"Mommy, Daddy!" Avery yelled with delight. She was hoping they would make thing all better.

"Hi honey." Diana said while picking up her little girl.

"Mr. and Mrs.Hanson?"

"Yes"

"We caught your son here trying to steal a $70 video game."

"What?! Jordan Taylor Hanson, is this true?" Mrs.Hanson said with furry.

"No I didn't! I was going to pay for it, but then I couldn't find Avey and I panicted and I guess I just put it in my pocket and then forgot about it." Taylor pleaded.

"Are you telling me the truth young man?" Mrs.Hanson gave Taylor the I-think-your-lying-but-not-quite-sure look in the eye.

"Yes I am!"

"He is. I saw the whole thing. He was really worried about his sister and just forgot about it." Hope, the cashier told Diana and Walker trying to fix the damage that had already been done.

" I see, well, we'll talk about this when we get home." Mrs.Hanson gave him the death stare.

"Great.."Taylor mumbbled, knowing that if his parentsd say they'll talk about it later, means that it's so horriable they can't do it in the store.

"Where's your brothers? I thought that they were going to the movies with you? Why aren't you there?" Diana questioned as they walked out of the store.

"Oh ummm... yeah, we were but... a... well... Zac's there..." Taylor stutered. "Oh great. I'm in enough trouble with mom and dad now Zac and Ike are going to kill me." Tay thought.

"Oh Ike this is beautiful!" Lynn's eyes shined with delight.

"I thought you'd like it." Ike smiled. "I brought you something else. here..."

"Oh Isaac! I've always dreamed of a picnic on the beach."

"Well, it's not exactly a picnic, just some pepsi and chips.. and it's not really a beach, just some sand by a lake."

"No it's perfect. Look how the moon sparkels on the water. It's like magic."

"The moon spakels in your eyes too."

They both stood there, staring at each other for what seemed like forever. Lynn put her arms around him and huged him. "Your the best thing that's ever happened to me." She whispered in his ear.

He looked into her eyes, her's filled with tears. "Ike maybe we shouldn't do this anymore. I don't deserve you. Nothing good has ever happened to me, and even when it did, I lost it. Everything I've ever loved I've lost."

"You won't loose me." Ike gently kissed her on the cheek and huged her again.

There was music playing from one of the cottages on the lake. "It's not far to never never land, there's no reason to pretend. An if the wind is right you can find the joy of innocense again..." They danced, slowly and close together under the stars.

"Sould I, or shouldn't I?" Zac thought, trying to figure out weather or not he should put his arm around Caitlin. "Here goes nothing." He muttered under his breath. He slowly reached his arm over her chair onto her sholder. Caitlin didn't seem to be paying much attention to him.

"AH!" She screamed and grabed Zac's leg when the comet reached the girl (who looks very much like Daniel Johns from Silverchair)'s parents. "Oh my god. I can't look!"

Zac eyes widened when he relized that her hand was on his thigh. "It's ok, it's just a movie." Zac said wrapping his other arm around her too. He looked into her eyes and was getting ready to go in for the kiss.

"Whould Zac Hanson and Caitlin Anderson please go to the theater enterance..." A womens voice rang through the theater.

"Ah, ok, what is this for?" Caitlin asked.

"I don't know." Zac said worried.

They walked out of the theater hand in hand only to see Diana, Walker, Tay, and Avery standing there and they did not look happy.

"Mom, Dad! What are you two doing here?" Zac said dropping Caitlin's hand.

"Go get in the car. We'll explain it when we're home." Mr.Hanson said abruptly.

"This can not be good." Zac thought.
