Josh wasn't at school on Thursday. Needless to say, Brittney was kind of happy he wasn't there. But still, Brittney hadn't met very many people in her class. Well, yeah, she talked to other people, but she never really clicked with anyone. So even though she was happy that she didn't have to face Josh, somehow she missed him.
Even at lunch Brittney felt distant from Michelle and Brock. But they wouldn't notice cause they were to busy being "together".
"That was so funny at lunch when Daniel hit Craig with his lunch tray and juice went everywhere. Poor Craig, but Daniel.... with that red juice all over him! I don't think I've laughed so hard! But he had it comming to him, he's a really big jerk!" Michelle laughed while walking home from school.
"Yeah." Brittney meanly replied.
"Are you ok?" Michelle asked sounding concerned.
'Yeah, I'm fine, why?" Brittney lied.
'Well you barely talked all day. Are you sure your fine?"
"Yes, I'll be ok."
"Well, call me if you need anything." Michelle reassured her. "see you tomorrow." she waved turning in her driveway.
Brittney opened the mailbox, to disturb the darkness. Bill, bill, and an unmarked envolope that just had "Brittney" on the front. She closed the mailbox and walked up the driveway and went inside her house.
As usual the house was quiet. She was egar to open the envolope, so she dropped her book bag and went into the living room. She sat down on the couch as she started to tare it open.
She read:
Dear Brittney, I know your probably mad and I can understand why, you have every right to be. Right now it's almost 3 in the morning and I've been thinking of you. My mom had to go to the hospital because she went into labor She had a girl!! I was so happy and she's so cute! But even in all the comotion, you were still on my mind. I'm sorry for anything I've done to hurt you. I never wanted to, and I hope you know that. Please call me when you get this letter because we need to talk.

Brittney ran upstairs and picked up the phone to call Tay. She didn't know what she was going to say, but something had to be said.
"Hello?" answered Avery on the other end.
"Hi, um, is Taylor there please?" Brittney asked.
"Yeah, hold on. Taaaaay!" A few seconds pause then, "Taaaaaayloooooor, phone!"
"Hello?" said a voice.
"Hi" Brittney said shyly.
"Avey, hang up the phone!" Tay persisted.
"Fine!" Avey slamed down the phone.
"Hi" he said."We really need to talk."
"I know. Listen, I'm really sorry, I thought that you didn't show up cause... you had something more important to do... in which you did... but.. I mean.. you had a good reason. Listen... I don't know... I'm just sorry."
"Brittney, don't say your sorry... I, I should have told you who I was when I first met you. But.. I guess I was so happy to finally meet someone... someone normal, and nice... and sweet, and someone that I like... a lot. I missed you."Taylor explained.
"I missed you too." Brittney replied.
"I've got a part of my life that is jam packed full right now, but, the other part of it, no matter how many people are around, there's only room for the ones I love and care for. Your one of those people and I always have time, no matter what for them and you." Taylor finished.
"I really don't know what to say." Brittney studdered.
"Say you'll come with me somewhere this weekend. Get to know me for who I am, and not for what I do. We'll do something fun, that we'll both enjoy. Please, give me another chance and get to know me?"
"I don't know, right now I'm so confused."
" Dont' be. It's me, the person you met the first day you were here. Remember? Cause I do. I'll remember that forever."
'Ok, ok, this weekend."
'Great! Thanks. I'm sorry Brittney."
"I'm sorry too." she said. "I have to go."
"Ok, well, bye,"
"Bye" she finished hanging up the phone.
She picked up his letter and read it again. "MAybe he'll be an ok guy," she thought to herself, "But getting to know him I have a feeling will take a while."
