You want to know about me eh?
Well, i guess you've come to the right place then.

Q: So, who are you? Where are you from?
A:      First off, my name is Christopher Remley. I was born and raised all my life in Michigan (the Pontiac/Clarkston/Waterford area for those of you that know it).

This is where i live.
[My Home]
I am a Christian, and have been for longer than i can remember. What does that mean? Before any stereotypes enter your mind, let me quote James:
"Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God the Father means that we must care for the orphans and widows in their troubles, and refuese to let the world corrupt us." --James 1:27
And did you know that if you wanted to obey ALL of God's commands, according to Jesus, you'd need only to follow two principles?
  1. Love others as yourself.
  2. Love God with all your heart.
Simple, eh? That's what i like about Jesus; just an average looking guy in street clothes giving it to you simple, straight, (and often in your face.) Not exactly what you'd expect from the creator of the universe incarnate, huh?

I've gotten most of this background from my family, and i've learned that i have been extremly fortunate to have them. Most people nowadays don't get the opportunity to live with family that is still in one piece and genuinly cares about each other. So i'm very much aware that i've been dealt with very mercifully in this life.

This is my family here:
[The Remley Family]

Within the past few years, i've discovered that i have a spirit of empathy for people. Meaning that i can acutely identify with people, especially during hard times in their life. That being the case, this verse has become my creed:
"Share in each other's troubles, and in this way obey the law of Christ. If you think you are too important to help someone else, you are only fooling yourself, you are really a nobody." --Galations 6:2-3

Q: So what do you do?
A:     I'm currently a student at Cornerstone College, located in Grand Rapids, MI. It's not a huge college, certainly not as big as MSU or U of M, which are much like small cities themselves. Our enrollment size is offically listed as 1,100 students and 50 full-time faculty. However, i believe this number is a bit out of date. We're growing more and more each year, and it's been announced that we will attain university status as of 1999.
I'm a Computer Information Systems major, and i work on campus as a lab monitor as well as the Information Service's HelpDesk. If you are a Cornerstone Student, click here to go to IS's intranet page. You'll get a good idea of what kind of things we handle from there.

Q: Why in the world is your handle "Arcman"?
A:     "Arcman" is a name that i derived from my middle name, which is Michael. Michael is the name of an Archangel in the Bible and so i decided i'd replace the "angel" with "man". People have asked my why my handle isn't "Archman" (as it would be had i left it that way). However, i prefered the way "Arcman" looked and sounded.

Q: Is this the end?
Yes!!
Well... of this personal profile, anyway. 8)
