Fact: What does Basma stand for?
BASMA- Means Bringing Along -S- Music Always.. Our CD will be entitled S to the tenth power... because we believe there are so many different types of music and we came up with 10 major adjective from what it means to us. When it's out be sure to pick it up! :) Formation: How they met eachother and started We met at school and both of us really think it's an act of God now! We were both new and outsiders and we sat together at lunch. We started drawing with color changing markers and when we tried to pick up the same one we knew it was an instant friendship. When we both discovered eachothers singing talents Ashley mentioned an old idea she had with a past friend about a group called BASMA. Advice: Tips to other groups just beginning In the words of Adam Sandler (a personel fav of ours)"YOU CAN DO IT!" You dreams keep you going, your dreams are what you live on, and if you have one..GO FOR IT. NO matter what u think it isn't very far away! It take the will, the drive, and most of all the passion to do what you love. You are the master of your own destiny, and no matter how hopless it seems, NEVER LET GO! As we say "Everyone is awesome at something.. It's just a matter of finding out what!" Label and Discography: Demo, label, etc. We are currently working with such people as "Alan Chandler" (composer of "I do Cherish You" by 98 Degrees) to come up with tunes and melodies for some of the over 70 songs we have written and recording demos and such locally. We have some support from several prominate people in the buisness and we are performing in shows and things near by. We are working closley on establishing a good sound and a few songs at the moment. We are very diverse and are always welcoming new techys to the team. We have been looking at people such as Jive and Atlantic. Appearances: Past and upcoming live shows and television appreances We have been performing from spontanious things at malls and stores, to shows at our schools and parties to backstage at Backstreet Boys concerts. For most of our performances we have managed to stage full scale dances (chair routine and step stool routine) and at most we have come up with special and dedicational tunes. We have been in numerous shows like Grease and Wizard of Oz and been noticed for our vocal ability. Over time we have come up with our own Birthday song and Thank you song. However we are focusing more vocally at the moment. Sound

Embarassing Moments: A moment the group could have done without but amusing. "There are a million! I guess
one of the ongoing things is Monkey Butt. You see he is our mascot. A huge
monkey who wears matching clothes to us. We take him EVERYWHERE and once we were at the mall and
a guy was staring at him sitting on our table in the food court.
Ash and I, (coniving as we are) decided to trick him and we took the back
of his neck and slowly moved him. The guy FREAKED OUT and ran off.
Also at a near by water park Ashley and I are know for shouting out our
inside jokes and as we went down a huge slide I wasn't paying attention
and I caught a nail and my top flew off. " - Lyndsey Chance
