05 Part 4 [8:55]
06 Part 5 [6:51]
Total Time: [73:46]
My first AirSculpture CD was Impossible Geometries, which is good, IMO.
But Europa is much better: Part 1b is definitely the best track - it´s
even better than
coldwater canyon which is one f the best TD tracks IMO.
This rocks ! The sound quality is stunning too.
You can hear TD influences during the whole CD.
Man! the sequencing. Nice melodies and smoothy slower parts complement
this jewel.
Part 2:
Gee! Unfortunately I missed that performance - you didn't realize that
THIS stuff is played live at the 4th Alfa-Centauri festival in Huizen.
I can't believe that this is improvised !
Analogue heaven - those guys have a lot of ideas - other artists would
be glad to have 20% of their creativity.
Part 3:
Lost in space ! A dark but still hopefully atmosphere, you don't know
what will happen next.
After 5 minutes the first sequences appear, more and more sequences,
again nice melodies/synth-solo-work.
It develops.. Wow! I love this varied "rolling" sequences. ba ba bebebe
de beep ba doop...
And then a nice percussive rhythm is added - CF couldn't do it better,
btw.
At the 14 minutes mark the dark atmosphere starts again, this time darker.
Synth-flute melodies, mellotron and strange noises.
Namlook aka Peter Kuhlmann should hear this and learn how interesting
slow parts can sound.
Mind music. Finally vocoder choirs chords keep you dreaming...
Part 4:
Synth-guitar ! Heavy multi layered sequencer lines...
similar to those on part 3, but this part has more power.
You can hear how the guys enjoyed the gig. The head bobs. I love this
guitar-sound !
High-speed EM heaven ! Wush! Err, it´s over.
Part 5:
The final track starts with slow chords and some melodically fragments,
after 3:30 some
sequencer lines appear and again! the synth percussion and a nice synth
solo.
Could be longer but 73 minutes is enough for a single CD !
To sum it up:
This is a great CD in the style of TD ca. Encore/Ricochet.
But these guys have enough ideas to create a specific style.
I highly recommend this !
