The Backstreet Boys are taking jet setting to new heights -- by performing in six different continents in just two days.

The whirlwind tour will be launched on the day the boys' brand new album "Black And Blue" is released -- on November 21.

Howie Dorough is equally speedy to point out the tour is no mere publicity stunt.

He says, "We're not trying to set ourselves up for anything. It's just that this is worldwide to us. We have a huge fan base in America and we are very fortunate to have lots of fans around the world as well, so we wanted to do this six continent thing for them."

He continues, "It just so happens that Japan is a day ahead because of the time difference so we can cover all six continents on 21 November."

The idea for a two-day tour could have been inspired by Geri Halliwell, who embarked on a similar promotional trip to launch her debut solo single, "Look At Me." -- WENN
