Backstreet Boys are setting their sights high this year with their upcoming album release, "Black & Blue."

Traditionally, boy bands have opted to release their albums in their local countries, as well as Asia, before plunging into the other territories.

But Zomba Records have taken the bold step to release their album simultaneously worldwide on November 20 in the U.S. and November 21 in the rest of the world.

To support this release, the boys will embark on the "Round The World In 100 Hours" global album launch, which will see the group depart from Stockholm this Friday, November 17, following their performance at the MTV Europe Awards. Traveling in a specially chartered 28-seater 737 jet, the band will spend over 55 hours in the air and 45 hours on the ground visiting Tokyo's Bay Area; Sydney's Bondi Beach; Harbour Bridge, and Opera House; Cape Town's Table Mountain; Rio's Copacabana beach, Sugar Loaf Mountain, and the Corcovado; and New York's dramatic Manhattan skyline.
