Being a big fan of Blues, R and B and hip hop, I've always been crazy about the bass. But I, like most people, started out w/ dreams of being a guitar god. However, I quickly realized my limitations and switched to keyboards. But I was bored w/ it, and still retained a love for the low grooves provided by Stanley Clarke, Nathan East and John Taylor. Hence, (perhaps in a break with sanity due to studying for the Bar Exam) I recently decided to jump in headfirst. Bought a beautiful Ibanez Ergodyne, and I'm having a blast.
