“You took a shower in her room?” AJ gave Nick a look. “I’m so proud.”
“Hold up,” Brian smiled. “Is that the girl I talked on the phone?”
“Will you guys let me finish?” he waited until he got a nod or yes from everyone before he continued. “I had to have been in the shower for five minutes when my phone rang. I guess Kaylee went to pick it up for me…”
Brian was surprised to hear a girl pick up. “Is Nick there?”
“Umm, he is in the shower right now,” Kaylee answered.
“Hey, guys,” Brian said to Kevin, AJ, and Howie. “Listen to this, Nick has a girl in his room and he is the shower.”
“Way to go Nicky boy,” AJ said approvingly.
“Can you tell him that Brian called?” Brian asked.
“Yeah, sure.”
“Thanks. Bye.”
“Bye.”
"SO, nothing really had happened?” AJ said disappointedly.
Nick was beginning to get irritated. “Seriously, next person who interrupts I’m going to hit. Can’t you guys be like Kevin? I haven’t heard a word out of his mouth.”
Brian began to laugh when he leaned over the chair to see Kevin. “Frack, that’s because he’s asleep.”
“Whatever. Anyways, I got out of the shower and…”
“Oh, Nick, someone called Brian called you,” Kaylee said as Nick walked out of the shower. “Thanks.” He probably had the wrong idea, Nick laughed to himself. He started walking to his room, but he turned around and looked at Kaylee, “Do you want to do something together?” he was half-ready for her to say no, but instead she said, “Definitely. It looks like it is going to rain, though. WE can hang out here.
“Cool,” Nick said walking back into Kaylee’s room. He left the adjoining door open.
Kaylee was sitting on her queen sided bed. Nick sat on the edge. “So, Kaylee, where are you from?”
‘Well,” she said. “I’m from England, but I live in New York.” Did I forget to mention that I’m a Princess? She said to herself. She had decided not to tell him yet. She really thought he was cute and she was beginning to like him. And she wanted him to like her for her not for her title. “You?”
“Well, I was born in Jamestown, NY, but I live in Tampa. Do you mind me asking how old you are?”
“Not at all. I’m 18; I’ll be 19 in six months. You?”
“I just turned 18 a little while ago.” They got to know each other a little better and before they knew it they had spent three hours talking.
“I’m hungry,” Nick announced.
“Me too.”
“Wanna order room service?”
“Well, it seems a waste to be on such a beautiful island and staying inside. The weather looks better.”
“I have an idea,” Nick said.
“Do share?” Kaylee answered letting her English accent come through.
“Hey, you do have an English accent,” Nick pointed out. “Anyways, it’s a surprise. Just be ready in 10 minutes.” He said walking into his room closing the adjoining door.
“I wonder what he has planned,” Kaylee thought to herself as she changed into something nice. She decided to wear her black halter-top jumper. She put her hair in a bun behind her. Maybe I should tell him who I am, she thought.
