"Hi," Justin smiled.
"Hi," the girls replied kind of annoyed. Bryn helped him up.
"What are you doing here? I thought you guys were going to Canada straight from the concert."
"That's what we wanted you to believe."
"So, where are the rest of the guys," Wade asked playfully.
"The rest or Lance?" Justin said. He had known these five girls since he could remember. Wade blushed. "They are in the car."
"Well," Aleia ordered, "Go get them," Aleia shared her sister's crush on Lance. Justin walked to the door and yelled to the guys to come in.
"So, coz," Justin said putting his arm around her, "Where are your parents?"
"Gone for the weekend."
"On your birthday?"
"Yeah, it was the best birthday present ever." The guys all came in with bags, "Wait a second, what's this?" The other four girls were upstairs fixing themselves up.
"Hey, Bryn," JC said giving her a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Can we stay for the weekend?" Bryn felt a warm feeling inside. She eyed Justin. He had JC ask her because he knew she’d never say no to him.
"Yeah, of course," Bryn answered. "You guys can put your stuff in the family room."
"Are you home alone?" Lance asked just as the four girls made their entrance. Lance looked up, "I guess not," he smiled.
After everyone said their hellos and settled in, the ten friends sat down in the family room surrounded by food. "Let's play truth or dare," Justin said. Everyone else agreed. "I'll start."
"Bryn, truth or dare?"
Bryn gave him an evil look. "Truth."
"Damn, I was hoping you'd say dare. Umm," Justin said, "Who is you newest crush?"
His question caught her off guard. Normally, she'd say JC, but this time she replied, "Nick."
"Who's Nick?" the guys asked. They all treated Bryn like a little sister.
The girls laughed. Kayla answered for Bryn, "Carter."
"The Backstreet Boy?" Chris asked.
"Is there any other?" Julie replied.
"Don't tell me you guys are all Backstreet fans?" Joey asks.
“Duh," Aleia and Wade said.
"They are starting with the twin thing again," Lance laughed who was sitting between them.
"We've been gone for awhile. When did this happen?" JC asked directing his question more to Bryn than anyone else. The two has always had something going on. JC knew that Bryn had a crush on him and because of the their friendship was little different from everyone else's. He was the one she would call when she needed someone to go with. Their friendship was very special. Anyone else besides the ten friends would think that the two were going out.
"Jealous?" Kayla said giving him an eye. "You guys are still our favorite group," she said sarcastically. The game ended as quickly as it began. The girls started asking how was the tour.
"A lot of fun," Chris said.
"Miami was the best, right JC," Justin smiled.
"Oh, what happened in Miami?" Wade asked.
"Defiantly. It was the last stretch of our tour and we got to embarrass on of our dearest friend." JC answered quickly.
"Embarrass?" Lance repeated. "She was turning all different colors."
The girls couldn't stop her laughing. "I did not turn any colors," Bryn said.
"Only pink," Justin said.
"And Red," Chris answered joked.
"Bright Red," JC Laughed.
"Are you guys just going to bother me or did you bring me presents?"
"I knew we forgot something," Lance smiled. Ring...Ring.
“That’s my phone,” justin said as he took out his phone from his pocket. “hello? Oh, Hi Nick. No you didn’t interrupt anything. Actually we were just talking about you. What were we saying?” Justin looked at the girls. Bryn gave Justin a if-you-tell-I’ll-kill-you-look. “I can’t tell you the girls would kill me. Oh, I’m at my cousin’s house. Actually, you don’t even need to ask them. They’ll do it. Yes, I’m sure. Ok. Bye. Justin turned off the phone and smiled. "Happy birthday, dear coz. The Backstreet Boys have asked you to be in their new music video." The girls started jumping and dancing around.
"They weren't this happy for us, were they?"
"This is the Backstreet Boys," Juliet yelled. "I am going to meet Kevin."
"When do we start taping?" Kayla asked.
"Tomorrow." Justin laughed. He and the other guys couldn't help laughing at the girls. They were literally jumping and dancing around. The twins almost trampled poor Lance.
"Tomorrow?" Bryn repeated. Justin nodded. 'I can't do it."
"Why?"
"I have practice all this week. Nationals are two months away."
"Bryn, we can't go without you," Wade said.
"Wait," Kayla said. "You can skate up in Orlando. I'm sure your coach wouldn't mind if you take a week off."
Bryn smiled. Leave it up to her best friend to come up with an idea. "I'll go and call her right now." Bryn said as she practically flew upstairs.
