"What do you guys want to do?" Kevin asked.
"Let's go to the mall," Kayla answered. She would use any excuse to go shopping.
"Great idea." Bryn replied she still had to get a costume for her program.
At the mall, the first thing the friends hit was the food place.
"Kayla, aren't you going to eat anything?" Brian asked sitting down next to her.
"I am."
"No, I mean food. You are just eating a potato."
"Brian, our Kayla is a freak of nature," Wade laughed.
"She doesn't eat like normal people," Aleia finished.
"Do you two always do that?" AJ asked sitting next to Wade.
The twins looking at each other and smiled. "Do..." Aleia started
"What?" Wade finished.
"That," AJ laughed.
"No, not all the time. We just do it to scare people," Wade laughed.
Bryn sat down next to Kayla. "Now that girl knows what it means to eat," B-rok laughed. Pointing out that Bryn had actually gotten something other than a potato and salad. Everyone laughed.
"Yeah, but as active as she is she needs something else in her body," Juliet pointed out.
"What do you that is so active?" Howie asked.
"I ice-skate," Bryn said eating her Big Mac.
"Oh," the guys laughed.
"What do you mean by oh?"
Kayla cut in, "Guys stop now while you guys are ahead. This is not a conversation you want to get into."
"When Juliet said active I thought she meant that you played a sport or something," AJ laughed.
"Now, guys," Nick said who was sitting next to Bryn. "Ice-skating is a sport." He laughed. "A real easy one." Kayla just sighed. I warned them she thought to herself.
"Oh, and I bet you can ice-skate?" Bryn asked. And before Nick could answer, "And I don't mean skating around in a little circle. I mean jumps, spins, the whole nine yards."
Nick just sat there. "Yeah, of course," he stuttered. "We ice-skated in Germany."
"If that is what you call it," AJ laughed.
"You're on. I want to see you skate." Bryn laughed.
Brian couldn't help laughing at Nick. "You've done it this time." Once everyone finished, they all got up and headed for the stores. After two hours, Brian and Kayla had at least twenty shopping bags between them. Bryn had found a costume at some store and Nick had bought a couple of other things. Everyone else just looked at Kayla and Brian.
"Where are you guys going to fit all that?" Nick asked Brian.
"You know, she is a woman after my own heart," Brian laughed. They put all the bags in Howie's car and they headed to the house.
