Brian was sitting in Jasmine's hospital room with Spring. "Spring, it's going to be OK. Stop crying please."
"Brian, I can't," Spring said. "Look at her, she's just lying there." Brian couldn't stand his girlfriend being in such distress. He gave her a hug. Jasmine made a noise. "Brian, stop that."
"It wasn't me," they both looked at each other.
Suddenly a weak voice asked, "How is my baby?"
Spring swung around and Brian went outside to find a doctor. "Jazz, the baby's fine."
Jasmine looked around the room. "Where's Nick?"
"He went home to be with the kids for a little while. Leslie is calling him right now. You gave us a scare." Spring smiled. The doctor came into the room and checked Jasmine and one of the nurses followed with the baby. She handed the baby to Jasmine and Jasmine just smiled. BJ, Leslie, and Brian walked back inside the room. The others had gone to get something to eat and they weren't back yet.
"Hey, Jazz, finally a girl, huh?" Leslie smiled. She had called Nick ten minutes ago. Nick said he was on his way. He called his parents to come and look after the kids.
Jazz smiled. "Oh, yes. My little princess."
Nick ran into the room. "Jasmine!"
"Hi, Nick," she said weakly. She looked into Nick's eyes. "What’s wrong?"
Nick bent down and kissed her. "I was so scared," he whispered. "I thought I was going to lose you. I'm so sorry."
"Nickolas Gene Carter, what are you sorry for? None of this is your fault!" Jasmine said. The others finally came back. They walked into Jasmine's room. "Hey, Jazz, what's up?" Aaron asked.
"Nothing much. I'm just hungry," she smiled.
"Who do you guys think the baby looks like?" Howie asked.
"Umm, Jasmine definitely," Kevin asked.
Jane and Bob walked into the room, Jane smiled, "Your children woke up and they wanted to see their new sister."
Nick smiled, taking Tyler from his mom. Spring took Kristopher from Bob, and Tristen crawled onto the bed next to his mom.
"So, what are you two going to name my granddaughter?" Bob asked.
"What do you think Nick?" Jasmine asked.
"Skylar," Tristen said.
Nick looked at his oldest son, "Skylar," he repeated. "I like that."
"Skylar it is," Jasmine smiled.
Tyler looked up, "Hey, Tyler, say hi to your new sister," Nick said.
Tyler looked at the baby, "Hi," he yawned as he put his back on his father's shoulder and fell back asleep.
Jasmine looked at her family. Her parents and sister weren't there, but that was because they had gone on vacation. Jane had called Jasmine's mom, and they were going to catch the first flight they could. "I'm going to set one ground rule, though. No spoiling my daughter." Everyone laughed.
"Not a chance," Bob laughed.
"I'm spoiling my daughter," Nick added.
"She's my first goddaughter," Brian continued. "She is going to get everything she wants."
"Everything," Aaron restated. Jasmine just looked at the other guys. She knew that her children were the luckiest kids in the world. They had so many people who loved them.
"This poor girl," Leslie started. "When she brings home her first boyfriend, she just doesn't have a dad to worry about. She has three brothers, a father, a uncle, two grandfathers, a godfather, and three more uncles to worry about." Everyone laughed.
"Well, Nick, I guess I can speak for everyone when I say congratulations," Brian smiled. "It seems like only yesterday you were scared of the dark." Brian paused. "It was wasn't, it?"
