Chapter Eleven        *ring ring*
'Hello?' A girl answered the phone. It wasn't Leah, but someone he'd heard before.  The girl was crying.
'May?' He asked
'yea.' She said, sobbing.
'I...where's Leah?' He asked, surprised.
'At the..the..hospital!' May exploded into another round of tears.
'What!? What the hell? What happened to her?'
'Zac, I.... I don't know! Her mom just called me and told me she was on her way to the hospital with Leah, she told me to come over and watch the house.' May explained crying. 'When I got here, no one was home.'
'Oh god... May, settle down okay. I'm sure It's nothing. Someone will call you from the hospital okay?'
'Yea..Zac. Go to her. She needs you, please go find out what's wrong with her!' She sobbed.
'I will.. I will May.' He hung up the phone and grabbed his Airwalks. He put them on quickly and screamed 'I'LL BE BACK IN A WHILE!' As he ran out the door. To the hospital. -   Zac saw Cathy in the waiting room. He ran up to her. 'Mrs. Parker!' He said.
'Oh Zac! I'm sorry I didn't call you. I wanted to I really did! I didn't have your number though!' Cathy explained.
'It's okay..I found out from May, when I called your house...can I..can I see her?' He asked.  He didn't bother asking what was wrong, he just wanted to see her, make sure she was okay.
'Yes Zac, you can.  I'm so glad she has a boyfriend that cares about her!' She smiled.
'Of course I care about her.'
'Zac, Leah's okay, she's awake and everything.  I've gone through this many times before, so I know she's okay. I have work tomorrow and as long as I  know she's okay.... Well,  I'm going to go home alright?'  He couldn't believe she would leave. But he was happy that Leah was okay..so happy.
'Tell May about Leah okay, she was really scared.' Zac told her.
'I will.' She nodded, gave Zac a hug, told him what room Leah was in, and walked away.
  As Zac walked quickly down the hall to Leah's room-well, he would be running, in fact he started out running, but he got yelled at. As he was quickly walking to her room, he wondered what her mom meant by 'I've gone through this many times before.' He didn't know, he was about to find out.
 He opened the door and walked in, letting it shut behind him.
Leah was awake. And happy to see him, she smiled.  It looked like she was lacking energy though.
'Zac!' She cried. It took all her might just to get that out.
'Leah!' He ran over and kissed her on the lips. 'Leah,' He said as he pulled up a chair. 'You look tired...what happened, you don't look hurt.'
  Leah was ashamed of lieing to Zac before. 'Zac... remember... remember last week in the gym when I was showing you how to play volleyball.'
He nodded.
'And I put my hands out to show you, and  you saw--'
'Leah..' He started, as he picked up her left wrist and looked at it.  It was wrapped up. 'Leah! I.... Leah!' Was all her could manage to say.  'No wonder your mom told me she'd been through this before.'
   'Zac, I'm sorry, I just..'
'Leah, I'm so glad you're okay.  What if-'
'Zac, let's not think about what if okay?' She said as she pulled him close and kissed him.
'Leah, you have no idea, how scared I was when May told me you were in the hospital! I still am scared! I really really care about you!' He exclaimed when they parted.
'Zac.  It was just that, you didn't come to my game, I played really badly. Everyone was putting me down.  Basically telling me I sucked! Even the damn coach threatened to kick me off the team!' She cried as her eyes filled with tears.
'Oh Leah. I'm sorry.' He said hugging her close. 'We had an interview  that i'd forgotten about, until Isaac and Taylor reminded me 5 minutes until we left! I'm so sorry! I didn't even have time to tell you, you wouldn't have been there though anyways. I'm so sorry I-î
'Zachary Walker Hanson.'
'what?'
'Will you stop saying you're sorry! I forgive you already!' She smiled.
'Okay...so you cut yourself because-'
'Because I was being verbally abused by my teammates and my coach!' She butted in.
He just stared at her.  'Leah... you are the most beautiful thing..person, i've ever seen  in my entire life! I love you Leah! That's the first time in my life i've ever said that to a girl, except my family! I didn't know what love was, Ike was right! Until May told me you were here. And I felt this...this horrible...well I knew that I had found what love was....Leah I love you! Promise me, promise me youíll NEVER EVER even think about cutting yourself again!' He said as he took her hands in his.
'I promise. I promise you Zac. I do.' She told him.  He leaned over to kiss her. She put her hand on his chest and stopped him. 'Zac.' She whispered. 'I love you too. You are so wonderful.  No one but my mother and my best friends has ever cared this much. I don't even know if all of them put together care about me as much as you do.'
