Chapter Fourteen
Two weeks passed by, she took all of the hate with remembering Zac's words.  It made her strong, it even made her smile.  But, her grades were slipping none the less.  She used to be a straight A student. On her interm report, she got an A, two B's, and a C.  On her report card, the C dropped to and D+.  Zac was helping her study, Tay and Ike too. But everything was so confusing all of a sudden.
'Zac, it never used to be like this.  I always used to get everything!' She shouted in frusteration when they were studying one night. 'What the hell is wrong with me!?'
'Hey, hey. Calm down, nothing at all is wrong with you.' He told her gently.
-
One day, when Leah went to her locker after school to get her stuff and go home, she found a note in her locker.
Stay away from him you slut! Or you'll be sorry! Stay Away from him! Or we're going to KILL YOU!

She heard laughing. She spun around as she shut her locker and shifted her backpack on her shoulder.  There were 5 girls, all of whom she knew, who had been torturing her from the start, laughing at her.
'And we mean that too!' Carly Harten called after her as she ran down the hall sobbing.

-
She slammed her door and locked it.  She flopped down on her bed just as her phone rang.
'WHAT!?' She screamed as she answered it, not thinking of who it could be.
'Whoa, Leah. What's wrong? You okay baby?' Zac asked concerned.
'Oh, Zac, I'm, uhh....fine, just studying.'
'Okay, well you sound like you've been crying.'
'Nah, I'm fine.' She lied.
'Alright.  Well I just wanted to s-'
'Leah Marie Parker, you get off that phone right this instant you are GROUNDED remember!?' He mother said from outside the door.
'But mom, it's Zac!' She said.
'Honey, it's for you own good. Zac is a wonderful guy, but you are GROUNDED!' She said firmly.
'Whatever I hate you!' She said scornfully.
'Honey, don't say that!'
'Mom, go away!'
'Leah, you're pissed, you're upset. Something is wrong.' Zac decided.
'Zac, I love you, but i'm grounded, I have to get off this phone before she makes it longer.  I love you.' She said softly.
'Leah, I love you too. I'll see you soon, kay?'
'Definitly.  Bye Zac.'
'Bye Leah.'
She hung up the phone.  Suddenly, a wave of pure anger came over her.  She hated the people at school, she hated school itself, she worried about her grades, she hated her mother for making her get off the phone with Zac, she hated herself. She hated everything.  She was mad, and she wasn't sure how much longer she could take it.  She ran to her dresser and looked in the mirror.  Looked at her tear stained face. And cried even harder. ANGER. Tears of pure anger, but saddness too.
