Biography
Eve 6’s Max Collins, Jon Siebels, and Tony Fagenson are from LA and have been writing and performing together for 5 years. Bass Player and lyricist Max, and guitar player Jon have been working together since 1993. They met in their freshman year in high school during gym class. Max and Jon started a band in High School, which they called Yakoo. Some band in Canada already had that name so they changed it to "Eleventeen". A woman friend of theirs had a independent radio show called "Radio Asylum" so she helped them to record songs which they sent to RCA. Two years ago, while they were still in High School, they signed onto RCA Record Label. The woman is now their manager. The name "Eleventeen" was then changed because it made them sound "too young". They then teamed up with drummer Tony and formed the band “Eve 6”, named after an episode of the X-Files, the boys favorite TV show. The songs on the self-titled album are from their own experiences. Eve 6 recorded the album in Los Angeles at Sound City and Chomsky Ranch, New York at Electric Lady and in Seattle at Stepping Stone. Because of their young ages (Jon: 19; Max: 19; Tony: 19) they often had to play at coffee shops and they advertised for their concerts at school so they would always have a large turnout. Now they are touring, and later in the year will tour with Third Eye Blind and (separately) Our Lady Peace.
