Eve 6 Experiences

**I'm sure that many of you have seen Eve 6 in concert or have had the opportunity to meet the band. These are stories of your very own Eve 6 encounters. If you would like to submit one send it to the address at the bottom of the screen.**

Molly's Eve 6 Experience

In May of '98 I went to a large festival type thing sponsored by the local alternative radio station New Rock 102.1 WLUM. There were 2 stages, one was a large ampitheatre and the other was a much much smaller stage under a tent. Some of the other bands that were playing were Violent Femmes, Semisonic, Green Day, Harvey Danger, Soul Asylum, God Lives Underwater, and many more. Before the Eve 6 concert I had only heard one of Eve 6's songs "Inside Out" and loved it so I decided to pass up the chance of seeing Green Day and see Eve 6 at the smaller stage. Because of Green Day being opposite them there was no more than 50 people at the stage. It was so cool and Max was really friendly with the audience joking about the freezing weather. I decided I loved them and right after they finished their set I ran and bought their CD. While coming back to get my friends Max and Jon came out from the trailer behind the stage and started to talk to whoever was around so of course we talked to them for a while and they autographed our CD's. They seemed so friendly and down to earth. Tony didn't come outside though and we were kind of mad about that. But that meeting made the rest of our day. All we could talk about was how we MET Eve 6, it was great and I can't wait to see them again.

Jess's experience

me and my friend kristyn went to the our lady peace/third eye blind/eve 6 concert at the i c light amphatheater, and eve 6 came on first, and played 5 songs of theirs, inside out being the 5th, and then they played leaving on jet plane. and like in between they were talking about wild sex, and then tony was like, ya know guys, i know its really hot out there, its really hot up here too, but it would be really great if you guys could like jump around or something, i mean i see some scattered jumping, but one big massive group jumping would be excellent. i had never even heard of them before, and i had only heard inside out on the radio once, but now i really want their cd

Livn4bush's experience

I was bummed out when tickets to Q101's Jamboree (a concert held by Chicago's new rock alternative radio station) was sold out. I really wanted to see Eve6 a new band that I was falling in love with so I was shocked when my uncle handed me four tickets to the festival. Along with eve6, there were eleven other bands, The Foo Fighters, Barenaked Ladies, Harvey Danger, Fastball, They Might Be Giants, The Specials, Spacehog, Ben Folds Five, Scott Weiland, Creed, and Soul Asylum. There was no way I was going to miss a minute of their show so I went to the stage about an hour early, which meant I would have a nice view. They were on the small stage sponsered by Dr. Martins, so I missed the performance by Ben Folds Five. Oh well, it was worth it. Anyway, they put on a rocking show, the large crowd was going crazy, people were crowd surfing and forming mosh pits. Everybody was singing along all the songs but when Eve6 began their single, "Inside Out," the pit went wild! They were the best band at the whole concert so while watching Harvey Danger play after Eve6 six on the same stage, i was psyched when the three cuties, Jon, Max, and Tony, along with some guards drove (about two feet away from where i was standing) past me in a volvo!!!!!

Another Livn4bush experience

Ever since I had bought Eve6's cd and seen them play live at Q101's Jamboree i was a huge fan. So when i heard that they were to play at a local mall in Sam Goody. I would go to the extreme just to see them. I would turn my plans "inside out" just to see them. Well, on June 20, I arrived at the music store a few hours early, happy to see no one had arrived yet so i set out to go shopping with my cousin who was also psyched to see the band. We arrived back at the store half an hour before they were suppose to play dissapointed to see over two hundred people waiting to see Eve6. There was no way i was going to stand in the back of the store only to hear the heavenly music so my cousin and i inched our way to the front only to have a couple people standing in front of us (it sounds rude but i was determined to get pictures of them.) Brian the Whipping Boy, a radio personality from Q101, was there to introduce the band. The crowd was now over 500 people, mostly teenagers, screaming and sweating for it was over a hundred degrees(and i'm not exagerating) without air conditioning. The band then came on the stage, All three of them with guitars. The plan was to play three acoustic songs them head off to sign linear notes from their cd. Max, the singer was very friendly. He enjoyed communicating with the crowd, making jokes on how it was so hot. Jon and Tony also joined in the converstaion. They began with the song "Open Road Song," (one of my favorties) and the continued to play "Saturday night." When the crowd announced that they wanted to hear "Superhero Girl," they accepted the challenge and played an extra song for their exuberant fans. The three announced the last song as a song no one had ever heard. Hmmmmm, wonder what that means? Of course it had to be "Inside out!!!!" By the end of that wonderful song, I had taken a roll and a half of film. While waiting to get our cds signed we got our picture taken with Brian the Whipping boy. Our stomachs turned, for we were next in line to have our cd signed by the Eve6 themselves! When the manager of the store asked people in line if how many of us had bought their cd today. "Not me, i've had mine for a long time becuase i'm a huge fan!" Jon smiled at me when I said that, maybe he was realizing his fame. When my cousin told Tony she loved him he told her he loved her too. They are all so nice. Oh and Max, well he is just soo hot in person! Anyway, that's my story on how i met Eve6, one of the greatest bands around. I would say that they are THE best band, but I'm to loyal to Bush, my favortie band.

Emily's Experience

This was my first real-real concert and i was soooo excited. "Inside Out" was my current favorite song and i couldn't get enough of it! my friend had called me up two days before the date of the concert to ask if i wanted to go...Did I?! They opened the show and were followed by Our Lady Peace and Third Eye Blind. They played just about their whole cd and i instantly fell in love..not only with their music..but with the band members! Max really kept the show fun, interacting with the audience between songs, seem like he knew exactly what we wanted to hear! It was the coolest thing, people jumping all over the place...I caught a guy's head just before it hit the cement!...and then another guy fell on my head! I bought a tank top with their logo on it. I just love the backwards "E"! it's so original. That CD will be mine in a couple days. i've already half-memorized it, off my friend's. I've never been so excited about and had so much faith in a band before. i really think they're gonna be huge one day and until then...well, they're already the best in my opinion!

Lunch's Experience

hello, my name is David, but people call me "Lunch", 22, from Washington PA, about 30 minutes south of Pittsburgh. I just saw Eve 6 on Wednesday, July 8th. They opened up for Our Lady Peace and Third Eye Blind. I was extremely impressed with their performance. I got addicted to their CD when I got it, listening to it about 30 times through. I was interested in how they would come off live. They were unbelievable. Every song sounded exactly like their album did. The people who went with me also were impressed, causing them to buy their album. This is impressive because the guy listens to music like "Boys II Men", and Country. So I was very happy with Eve 6 for converting someone who has lousy taste in music.

Janelle's Experience
Me and my 2 friends,Crystal and Jenny, got there at about 6:30 the line wasn't that long and by the time they started letting us in,but not to where the concert was just inside the building, the line grew to be about 5 times as long! When we were waiting to get in to where the concert is they were handing out these little Campus Invasion Tour booklets with like a lil article on Eve 6 and 3eb and then some ads anyhow. They finally let us in and you could see the whole stage set up for Eve 6 and we got to the 4th row so we had pretty good seats. When Ryan came out to get the guitars ready some people thought he was in the band which i thought was kinda funny but that's okay. Finally Eve 6 came out and everyone went SMASH! I mean you couldn't move but it got worse as the concert went on. I brought a camera and got some pics of Tony,Max and Jon but more of Tony and Max cause i had better shots of them. I got all the pics i wanted during the first song 'How Much Longer' cause i knew i wouldn't be able to move soon. I don't really remember the set list but they played almost all their songs. This one guy behind me was screaming for them to play 'So Cal' and i turned around and said to him 'You D*** the song is called 'Inside Out'!!!!!" and he just looked at me and i turned back around but he kept saying So Cal...then he was saying that the lead singer rocks and again i turned around and said "His name is MAX COLLINS!!!!!" this guy was really making me mad cause he arms were blocking my view and i kept pulling his arm hair out so he'd move but he wouldn't! Well Eve 6 ROCKED OUT!!! of course! and then intermission came. A lot of people were getting out it was so crowded and instead of letting up on the pushing they kept pushing during the intermission! and all the sudden i felt like i was gonna faint so i got out and went around and saw a girl that i had been talking to before the show started so we hung out for the rest of the show. 3eb was really good too and really got the crowd going (well most people were there for them) they performed all thier hit songs and plus one off thier new album called 'Georgeous'. It was really kewl plus Stephan had all his funny perverted jokes in there too ; ) Well after the show me and my friends went to find Eve 6's tour bus and low and behold we found it. Like maybe 8 people were farther down but we stood like right in front of it. I saw Ryan and i was like 'Hey your Eve 6's roadie right?' and he's like yea and then i was like your name's Ryan right? and he's like yep and i'm like will you sign this and handed him my cd booklet and a pen and he asked 'Are you sure you want me to?' and i was like yea you kick ass! so he signed it Ryan the Roadie. I asked him if the guys were coming out and he said Jon was walking around somewhere and Max and Tony were on the bus but were gonna come out soon so i said thanks and he went on the bus. Right after he did i looked and there was Jon walking towards the bus! He was walking past like all these girls and none of them even noticed him! so i went up to him and said 'Hi Jon' and shook his hand. He was like Hi and i was like will you please sign this? and handed him my cd booklet so he did and then i asked if i could get my pic taken with him and he said yep so i did then like 10 people came up and i let him use my pen when he was done he went on the bus. and like 10 minutes later Max and Tony came out! No one was around except for me and my friends then some other people were farther down so i went up and said 'Hi Max' and shook his hand and i was like will you sign this? and he was like 'No i'm just kidding sure hold this' and handed me his cup and then after he signed it i was like 'Hi Tony' and shook his hand and Tony was like 'Wow you know our names?' and i was like 'yea! you guys are like my faveorite band!' and Max was like 'Well who's there to compare to we are the best!' and i was like 'Well the Verve Pipe come close' and then Max said kiddingly 'Well they suck' and he and smiled and then i said i was screaming to you guys that you rock out and they both kinda laughed and smiled and then Max got bombarded with all the girls and Tony was there still so i handed him my cd booklet and asked him to sign it and he was like sure and i got my pic taken with Tony too and then i talked to him for a bit and said everyone says you and Jon are really nice and he was like Max is nice too and i was like yep you guys are all nice and then Tony was like well i gotta go and we were like okay and he was walking away and i yelled to him 'Keep Rockin Out!' and he looked back and waved to show he heard me and then we left. That was one of the best nights of my life!!! It was so awesome!!! I'm very lucky to have met them all and i just think they are all so super of guys!!! Max is like sarcasticly funny (kinda like me) Tony is down to earth and Jon seemed kinda shy but they were all so nice! My friends were really surprised at how nice they all were too.

EM ANGEL's Experience

K, for my 16th birthday, I went to see Eve 6 and 3EB in Irvine on the 11th of October... My birthday is the 12th, so it was perfect, don't ya know... So anyway, I'm there with my best friend, and we are looking for some place to eat before the concert. It's Sunday, and for some strange reason, nothing is open! We found out later that all the other restaurants went out of business because of this big mall like 10 miles away, but we're from Bakersfield, and we didn't know... So we're looking for a place to eat, and we keep running into the same three guys. They're looking for a place to eat, too. This was before I knew that much about Eve 6... I mean, I loved "Inside Out," but I'd never even seen the video... Man, do I feel retarded... 'Cause we kept running into these guys, and when we finally found a place to eat they were eating there too, so we kind of hung out, I guess. And we told them we were going to that concert at the University, and they were all "Yeah, we're going to be there, too." and just before they left we're like, "Well, maybe we'll see you there?" and the redhead (Max, obviously) is all, "Count on it!" then he tells me to look for the tour bus after the show and tells us where it's parked, and we figure they're big fans or roadies or something... So me and Mel go to the concert, see them on stage and feel retarded for not knowing who they were... But we got their autographs and talked to them for about an hour, so it was worth it. But, man, do I feel stupid! Just for the record, Showerhead is my fave song on the album!!!
