Aug 20th 2001:Variou bit and bobs Back revamping the site after a fair time, very busy this summer, I notice that various mirroe servers are being a bit mince with the mp3s, so am going to re-do the links and find a new site to host everything.
Feb 17th 2001:Howl Girl Catch Prepare to die of enjoyment! A blistering onslaught of delicate ambient guitars and thoughtful vocals. Absolutely fantastic track from Frankie Machine. Full links to all FM info to appear when I get in tonight. You can get it from the downloads page.

30th 2000: Summer in Rowley Fields The
third 22 Metre Band album is complete! a 30 minute slab of beautiful, scary,
experimental strangeness "Summer in
Rowley Fields is about the dignity of manual labour, in a world of call
centres, music on hold, traffic jams and parasitic service industries,
combining to create a world of frustration. The idea was to put together
as many tracks as possible using as many found objects as possible, that
could be used to make sounds, made during the summer of 2000 at plot
248, Rowley Fields Allotments, Rowley Fields, Leicester. In fact, most
of the synth sounds you can hear on this album are actually processed sounds
of found objects. The lawnmower solos represent the application of technology
for it's most noble purpose, to provide food. The rusty iron sheet and
hinge chorus represents the timelessness and tranquility of horticulture.
" Downloads and more details to appear soon on the 22 Meter
band site. Email nb@nme.com for mail order details.

And one of them met Gordon as made famous by Jilted John. Stone me. Best
thing to come out of Manchester since Privileged Frames For Reference,
where of course we remember Jega turning up.
