Hey there. I just want to say how happy i am that the road to the new album is finally (almost) over. 3 years is such a very long time. Alanis is like a drug to so many of us. we were all addicted to our Jagged Little Pills, and we wanted more. those of us who were lucky enough to attend a concert in which she played new songs, or own bootlegs, well, we got our lips moistened with fresh, new material. the songs from JLP were classic, and we'll forever love them, but we also felt a strong need to hear more. after a very long wait, in March, 1998, we were graced with a new, beautiful song on the City of Angels soundtrack called Uninvited. This was maybe a sort of hors d'oeuvres, something to spark up our impatient appetites. Then, before we knew it, the big announcement was out. Alanis's new album, Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, was to be released on November 3rd!!! Oh, but that was such a long way away! The first single, Thank U, would hold us over. And when it was released, I can say from my own experience, I squeeled! I jumped up and down and ran around my house when the video debuted on MuchMusic, and now, here I wait. Next week she performs on SNL, and on Nov. 1, the I&I. But the biggest date, which I've circled on every calander I own, (or don't own but comes into sight), is that in which I'll be the happiest little Alanis fan in my world!
