Okay, I've got lots to say, to fans and haters alike. So listen up, alright? I'd like to start by saying, you would never go up to a hot guy on the street and ask them to marry you or scream in his face. Maybe some of you really brave people would (like for fun, but that's JUST for FUN) I know I wouldn't. For all you know, that guy (or Hanson) could be spoiled little brats or just a jerk!! (I'm not saying they are, I'm just making a point so please don't be mad or offended.)
I think the majority of Hanson fans have fallen for Tay, Ike and Zac's looks, rather than their music. I mean, honestly, what do you think about when someone says 'Hanson'? I bet a nice picture of Taylor's face pops into your mind, right? And what do you think of the 14-year-old who's rumoured to play with the band? Are you one of those people who absolutely hate that idea? Why? Oh, because something might happen between her and Tay? What does that have to do with their music? Hate me if you'd like, but if Hanson thinks she's awesome, then she must be. I doubt they'd hire someone to play with them in one of their songs if she sucks. If Hanson wants her to play with them, then I'm behind them all the way! And who knows, maybe sparks will fly between her and Tay, maybe they won't. But you have to know that Taylor's a teenager, he's bound to find a girl one of these days.
I don't mean to sound even more like a b*t*h, but for those of you who say you like Hanson for their music and then go on to describe how H-O-T one of the members look (or vice versa), are not real Hanson fans at all. You just add that little sentence that says, "I like Hanson for their music, too" (or something to that effect) because you know that's the main reason why you should like them, and because that's what Hanson, themselves, want. And for that reason, we have Hanson haters who are forever bashing Hanson and their fans. If you haven't noticed already, most hate pages say that they don't hate Hanson as much as they hate their hysterical fans. And again, no offense, but it does get annoying when you're trying to listen to Hanson sing at a concert but you can't because hysterical fans are screaming their heads off. I mean, of course it's expected to happen. But after hearing, "I LOVE YOU!!" for about 50+ times, I think Hanson gets the picture.
Okay, I realise that I shouldn't be saying all of these things, but it's my opinion. I'm sorry. I love Hanson's music, but when I say that, I don't mean that I love them! No offense to Hanson, I care about you guys as friends and all, but not in THAT way, considering the fact that I don't know anything else about you! Their music is really upbeat and spirit-lifting, and that's what should be recognized!!! I'm sure a lot of you agree with me on that! It's two completely different things when you say, "I LOVE TAY/IKE/ZAC" and "I love Hanson's music!" Obviously, I choose the latter. I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with being obsessed, I mean, it happens to (almost) everyone. What I am saying is that everyone needs to calm down and think about the REAL reason why they like (or hate) Hanson, whether it's because of their music or not. They haven't done anything wrong, so they deserve to be respected and treated fairly. Just because they're young, and have long hair, doesn't mean they should be treated with any less respect than some of the other male bands with older and more masculine looks. Remember, I'm not saying any of this to anyone in particular. This is directed to people, in general. One of my friends, who's a disliker of the band, was watching Game 1 of the World Series with me, and even she said, (I quote) "I don't care how much you hate a band, booing them is rude and unnecessary." Talk about a whole stadium full of immature ADULTS!!! What does that tell you? Don't you think they should've showed Hanson more respect? Especailly since they were there to sing the National Anthem?
I also realise that if Hanson doesn't mind their fans (haters) doing/saying that sorta stuff, then I shouldn't mind either. But hey, like I said, I'm only stating my opinion. If I were in their shoes at the stadium, I probably would've run out of there crying!! But being who they are, they stayed, and showed all of them just how well they can sing "The Star Spangled Banner" and I'm proud of them for being so brave. If any of you have a problem with anything that I have written, then feel free to e-mail me and explain to me, in a calm and fashionable manner, why I am right or wrong. But don't accuse me of not knowing what I'm talking about because I know, and understand, VERY well what I am saying.
One more thing before I go: You all have to realise (whether you're a fan, or a hater) that Ike, Tay and Zac are only 17, 14, and 12. To achieve what they have at such a young age is amazing! Like, what were you doing at their ages? I admire and respect them a lot for making their dream become reality and I'm sure you do, too. But all the constant screaming, and booing, can and sometimes will, hurt. Think about what you do before you do it. They are human, afterall, just like you and me.
