OK- First of all Friday night is not a good night for me to be up late. By Friday I am so worn out that I usually go to bed around 9. BUT, I know I have an obligation to all of my fellow surfers out there so do you know what I did for all of you? I stayed up till 11 JUST for YOU! You all should feel very special.
So, on to the review. Hanson came on just a little after 10. It was really cute how Glen Close introduced them- saying how a rumor was going around about an appearance by Hanson. I guess you had to be there. So, they came on and they sang "Merry Christmas Baby" which sounded totally awesome. Except for one little thing. And it may be nothing, but was it just me or did Zac sound a little off-key. Now, I'm not a singing expert but I do have a little of a musical background and I noticed it. After they finished I realized that it may have been the chorus that sang with them.
Isaac had on a deep reddish shiny sort of suit with a collar-less black shirt on underneath. He kinda reminded me of a 50's jazz singer. I also noticed that he is picking up on Taylor's habit of stamping his foot while he plays. Although not quite as noticable as Tays tapping, it was still kinda cute. He looked like he was enjoying himself and he was smiling. He looked slightly tired but not too bad. And was it just me or couldn't you hear him too well???
Taylor was wearing a black velvet suit with the same kind of material that Ike's suit was made out of, collar shirt with a white tee on underneath that. He looked like he was wearing black Docs too. He looked very awake and like he was enjoying himself. His hair was very nice and he was smiling the whole time!
Zac was all in black with a satin button down shirt and black pants. He wasn't really smiling during the performance and he looked really tired. That is until right at the end of the show. When everyone was singing. He was smiling a lot and he didn't look as tired.
Their second performance I missed except for the last 30 seconds or so. My friend HAD to call so I got up and missed it. I won't name names (MARIA!!!) but you know who you are. I do know that they sang "Silent Night" and what I heard of it, it sounded really good. This one was an a capella, so of course it sounded incredible.
Overall, I think it was a pretty good performance. Especially being in front of the President and his family. I mean, can you imagine how nervous you would be?

I have a few comments of my own about this performance. I just wanna say that I have NEVER been more proud of Hanson after a performance than I was when "Christmas In Washington" was over. It must have been an honour to sing for the prez and they did so well, I'm just so happy that they made it there! This performance was by far one of the most emotional ones I've endured. But then again, I'm always like that around Christmas...guess Hanson just got lucky! Jenna's right, "Good Job Guys!"
