Netscape
Midi bug should be fixed. You should be able to hear background midi
music with both Netscape and Internet Explorer.
You
need the CRESCENDO plugin for Netscape to hear
midi though.
And if you don't have a wavetable, get an awesome
simulator here. Get WinGroove now!

Get WinGroove to hear real midi instruments if you don't have
a wavetable!
TIP: Say
yes when prompted to install WinGroove device driver as a default
device driver in Windows!
WHAT IT DOES: You
can then playback midi files with any Windows application and
hear the good sound quality that WinGroove's midi patches offer.
Read the
following if you have no idea what a wavetable is:
A wavetable is
part of a sound card which contains midi instruments so midi
playback in Windows sounds good. If you don't know if you have a
wavetable or not, you can make a little test. Find the CANYON.MID
file (usually in your Windows directory) and play it. If you can
sort of tell that parts of the song are made with an electic
guitar then you probably do have a wavetable. If you can't
tell that it's an electric guitar or are not sure, download
WinGroove and play midi files with it. If there's a big sound
quality difference, then you didn't have a wavetable and you
should keep WinGroove to playback midi files the way they were
meant to be played. If there is absolutely no difference, then
you do have a wavetable and WinGroove is useless to you and you
should only keep it if you want a good midi player.
