Jim Valvano (aka Jimmy V) was basketball coach and Athletic Director at NC State.  One of his brightest moments came in April, 1983 as the "Cardiac Pack" defeated the mighty Houston Cougars in the NCAA finals to win the title.  In 1993, Jimmy returned to NCSU one final time to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the '83 team.  Unfortunetly, Jimmy would lose his battle with bone cancer 6 weeks later.  Please take time to visit his organization at www.jimmyv.org.
