Blues Review May '98:

"The Best  Unsigned Act this month is a dead heat.
Ron Spencer & the NiteCrew's "Burnin' Desire" (Real Gone 101) comes loaded with happening tunes and Razor sharp playing.  Spencer has great tone, a bunch of taste, and incisive vibrato. He plays to the song, but oh, you'll notice him.

Apart from covers such as "Cold, Cold Feelin'" and "Checkin' On My Baby", imagine Freddie King's  "Let's Dance and Hideaway" album with vocals and you'll be in the ballpark."

Blues Access Spring "98 :

"Spencer and the Crew have a good handle on their swingin', small-combo
blues  rock. If you dig the T-Birds or Anson or Roomful, you'll find something cool here."

"Ron's guitar playing stands out from the pack for exceptional Taste, Tone and Fire" Bob Margolin ex-Muddy Waters guitarist & Alligator recording artist.

"His playing is powerful and assured" Cub Koda
