| Adam Darowski formed Ego Booster in the summer of 1996 after playing with a Rehoboth folk/pop band called Doofus. Influenced by bands such as Weezer, Teenage Fanclub, the Lemonheads, and of course, the Beatles, Adam has written prolifically for the band. Adam uses cheap humbucker guitars (his favorite being his '70's Gibson Les Paul Marauder) fed through his beloved Ampeg combo. His effect use that defines the Ego Booster sound is his collection of three Ibanez Soundtank Tube Screamers. (Note: Adam avidly refuses to use any effects other than distortion/overdrive.) |
