BIOGRAPHY

CHAINED & DESPERATE formed at the end of 1990 under the name DESPERATION DEATH and on February 1992 we changed our name to CHAINED & DESPERATE. After two experimental tapes they released their first demo “Grieving for the Lost Sun”. It was released in June 1994 and the band played doom metal with death and clear vocals. The lyrics were about Nature - Paganism and the Sun and remain the same after all this time.

In the last days of 1994 they took part in a comp. lp with the song “Chained And Desperate”. On December 1994 Manos and Chris left the band after the first gig in Piraeus. In December 1995 they entered the legendary STORM studio with M. W. Daoloth as the producer to record six songs for the debut mcd which was never released as the label (DARK SIDE Rec.) closed.

After an enormous delay the songs were released at the end of 1996 under the title “Oracles from the Neither-world” in the form of a demo. It received very good reviews from mags like THE MIGHTY, DECIBELS STORM, METALLIAN mag., NORDIC VISION, METAL HAMMER and from others. In June 1997 we entered the studio and recorded two new songs for a promo tape destined only for labels (thus unreleased). Both “Oracles…” and the promo are now re - released from DEMONION Prod.

Due to the long delay from a stupid English label (NEAT METAL) the band has not made a new release for sometime now but they will have a new release in the year 1999. CHAINED & DESPERATE have now a new drummer and await all serious labels to contact. All letters will be answered.
